I was thinking about whether a camera would be blocked or aimed incorrectly once the tailgate was dropped. Since the view is live, you will certainly see the tailgate down in the video.
Camera is mounted below the tailgate, so no, you won’t necessarily see it down — unless rivian adjusts in software.

Yea I understand it’s not a Tesla thing, but it is Well implemented by them with the phone key. Also implemented in most luxury brands. My main issue is slamming my knees in the dash after my wife drives with the seat up close lol. Seems something simple they could add in a software update. I hope they do!
I agree...had this in my last Acura and it was great. Steering wheel can move up too while moving seat down and back for easy in/out. And for that matter they could squat the suspension. Then upon putting foot on brake on reentery, go back to preset position. Seems like this would be a really nice feature to add.

I was not fully sold on it in my Acura. It would take the seat back further and sometimes crush the stuff I had sitting on the floorboard behind the seat. I guess it gave me more room to egress and ingress, but there is always a cost.

In Tesla’s implementation, Easy Entry has its own profile, so you can set how far you want it to go back

Does having the tailgate down mess up the birdseye view or affect the backup camera view? I hope they would have thought about this and expect the birdseye isn't changed, but less sure about the backup camera view. Thanks
Summary - tailgate down has substantial impact on the rear camera image as it is located just above the license plate.

Two weeks of ownership and I haven't figured this out and didn't find it in the charging section of the manual:

Is the only way to manually end a charging session to go into the vehicle charging screen and press the stop charging button?

If so, that's tedious.

Technically, pulling the plug out of the car is an alternative manual process to end a charging session :)

Just curious, if you push the button on the J1772 plug does it not interrupt the charging session?

When I push the button using it to charge the Tesla, the ring turns white shoing charging is stopped and I pull it out.

I wasn't even aware there was another way to do it besides this.

Pushing the button opens the proximity circuit and stops the charge. Required by J1772

I thought when I yanked the plug I got an ugly warning that it was not a good thing to do. Maybe I imagined that.

I don't know why about half the time when I press the right stalk down for D-drive the wipers do a single pass across the windshield. The wipers aren't even controlled by that stalk. I've tried different ways of touching/pushing on it but it still frustrates me often when the wipers gyrate.
