It sucks big-time. Nothing works right. I get a "blank stare" (wavvy bar goes away without action) like 9 out of 10 times. I tried rephrasing some simple tasks a few ways and it never worked. Not even close. I mean who approved releasing this POS
Best approach that Rivian should take (read this, not my original idea) is to NOT do the typical "Launch Edition" R2 (Dual, AWD, fancy bits) coming out of the gate, but rather begin with the base configuration (Single, longer range) priced closer to the often stated $45K price. There's likely a...
I do appreciate the comments about how informative the update notification is... however, I posted this to help the next fool that doesn't bother reading instructions.
Took me a moment to interpret this, until I realized my signature info was outdated on the vehicle. Moved from the '23 R1S to a '25 R1T Dual Perf. a couple months back... Updated my sig. :)
OK, I realize this thread title is controversial and admins may strike it down. I got the .46 update and was excited to give it a try - after watching several of the Rivian influencer reviews from the 'Autonomy Day' event. I do recall the Rivian person in the vehicle (repeatedly) saying this...
The 'practical me' totally agrees with you. In fact it would be wiser to get the new R2 dual asap and use my 2nd R2 reservation down the road (hopefully allowed) to use for the R3X -Tri monster!
Personally I'm really hoping for initial Launch Edition tri-motor R2 perhaps with all-new unique paint color option. I would love to see 'Sand' as option for exterior/interior. Having a sand interior option would be cool with other paints as well. I'm willing to pay in the $65-$75K range for...
I use the manual spray carwash down the road almost every weekend and heading there shortly. And I don't see that causing the steering wheel intervention alerts becoming manic.
But I will make a concerted effort to wipe them down after any inclement weather.
What gives with Driver+ lately? Am I the only one that thinks the behavior got worse the past few OTA updates? It's always been rather finicky and often frustratingly inconsistent. But recently the "Keep Hands On Wheel" sensor/sensitivity has gone haywire basically. Time and time again...
Dominant version will be the Dual Motor AWD.
Probably around $55K
Tri-motor version likely around $65K
That's where the "real money" will be generated.
