I am still hoping in the future refresh or next gen R1 Rivian puts a mechanical keyed lock into the driver's door where the key is a part of the fob. And then a mechanical frunk release in the cabin. Then in a 12v failure, at least you can get in the cabin, release the frunk, and get at...

I assume they send it back to their vendor who credits them upon receipt of the damaged unit. Meaning....I am thinking they need it back to get compensated back.

I, too, have had good experiences with mobile and one barely acceptable in center visit...although I am accumulating a list of issues to have to journey to a service center for. Curious since you have 3 of them and they have had all good service center experiences (not sure 3 of 3 should need...

Are you saying as long as the majority of people have a good experience it is an acceptable level of performance that the other half doesn't? As far as double post....my personal feeling is Rivian is potentially destroying their brand with sporadic QC and sporadic service center QC....

Agree.....Rivian really needs to revamp and greatly improve the service experience to point ALL customers feel that they can post how great Rivian is at service. Sure there will be some outliers that are people never happy....but they clearly aren't at the point where only those people are unhappy.

But Tesla grew its business without competition. Rivian doesn't have that luxury. It might be difficult....but it also might be imperative. Let them roll that dice to see how much they can get away with and for how long. I am glad not to be in their shoes to try and figure out how to...

I hope they keep expanding service center locations. Most mainstream owners aren't willing to wait months for appointments or travel hours for repairs.

I'd like to see it be about consistency. My 3xxx looks almost hand built....it is that good. Hopefully the unit to unit variation has improved....that is the real measure. Some random single early unit against some random current could result in some varying results....

Can these be used to adjust side to side? When mine was new it leaned to passenger side. I was going to try and armchair similar solution by "tricking" computer by lengthening or shortening links. I am level now, but could this be used to offset left to right vehicle height?

Hp limitations still mean resistive heat and all the wiring will be needed....for those cold days.

Everytime I see one of those I think it looks like a Smart Forfour on 4 temporary spares.

I wish the heat pump would be optional. It adds complexity and cost and for some people the benefit is not significant.

That is one of my main reasons for not trading in for a newer unit. My '22 is near perfect with 40k on it. Plus I don't want to give up my Meridian audio. That and the dollars don't make sense for me.
