Are you sure it is climate and not part of the battery management system? Is it really hot where it is? If my R1S is out in high temps the system kicks in to cool the batteries and prevent the interior from over heating.

Look for the R2 reservation page, pretty sure it said the invite is to place an order but was not on a time schedule. You should be able to start the process in July and probably delivery would be in August.

I’m curious as well, I do not have 2 yet but will when we get the R2. This thread is a couple of years old, I can swipe right and left between my R1S and R2 reservation. If you have 2 vehicles will swiping between them change the PAAK actions to the other vehicle?

The R2 manual is published on the Rivian Web Site under support documents. I can answer most questions, plenty of detail on manual release of front and rear doors, also talks about dual power for the electronic door switches.

If they ordered a new tail gate just put some duct tape across the seam. Probably will be a pain if you need to open it but if you can leave it closed you should be able to drive around waiting for the repair.

Not a fan of prioritizing leasing as a reservation holder but certainly understand it as a stock holder. Those are buyers needing to make a purchase in a predetermined time frame. If they do not have R2 as an option Rivian could lose that sale for 2 to 4 years.

Maybe I should call them and tell them I leased my R1S to my wife for a week and it is set to expire on June 19th….
