I agree, just a quick tap on the button in the R1 and it works great. It does often take a second or two before the door moves, maybe that confuses people a little.
I think I’m in the same boat as you. I agree the graphic shows cancel on the left, open on the right. I guess their interpretation is you push from the right (going left) as if in the R1 series you push the right button.
Seems counterintuitive to me, but as long as I know now I guess it is ok. 🤷🏻
You may want to give it another try, there have recently been updates, if you have not tried in awhile it may be better. I know my G1 R1S will has improved quite a bit since I’ve had it but I usually only use it on open highway stretches.
In the R2?
My G1 R1S has some of that, I’ve used it enough to know what to look for.
In the R2, huge improvements. On roads I’ve used the R1 driver+ and consistently had issues, the R2 has been pretty smooth.
I’m 3.5 years into my R1S with the Samsung thumb drive, never had an issue with it.
Our R2 is only 3 weeks old but with the Lexar thumb drive popped it in it formatted and has worked with no issues.
I just made sure I purchased ones that had high rewrite cycles the Lexar and Samsung both...
My thought on the people having issues with the portable SSDs is the USB C port goes to sleep, it takes the portable SSD longer to power up than the jump drives and the system is failing if it does not get a response in an expected time.
They could probably fix the problem adding routine to...
I have a G1 R1S, it is a Launch Green color with Yellow calipers, I really like the combo so it will be hard for me to let it go. The G2 is not enough of an upgrade for me to pull the trigger. That being said, I have a short list that if they made these enhancements I’d buy it as soon as I...
I like the R2 UI, some decent changes. Curious did you get to see any features in it? I’m hoping they add additional functionality to the scroll bars on the steering wheel. There are some things they can’t do but if we could scroll left and right to get to other features like the fan and...
It could be the drive, have you tried another type of drive?
I know I had an SSD drive I tried using with my R1S and it never worked. Ended up using a SANDISK thumb drive in that, has worked great for 3.5 years.
I’m using this Lexar in the R2, works fine with 2026.24.40 and .41
Or me….
When Ingot my Model S my brother in law was looking at it and pointed out a couple of spots he said are you having them fix this, I could not live with that.
I looked at what he was pointing at and literally said I have no idea what you are seeing. Left that just thinking to myself...
I see that in the desert with our charger on very hot days. In my experience, once it derates for a session it does not increase the rate until the next session. That is probably why things were not hot to the touch when you went out there.
I never really got the EA hate either. Before Tesal opened the SC network I used EA 90% of the time on my cross country trips Never really had an issue, I saw some units down but never found a location I could not charge at.
Next time you do not have cell service see if you can connect to the Rivian hot spot. It has a better antenna than the phone and sometimes gets service when the phone cannot.
As stated above, probably an exercise in frustration trying to get a credit. For that session you were a Rivian...
I have an LG R1S love the color, get tons of comments, added benefit it is a limited edition color. I would have done LG on the R2 but my wife is the primary driver of that one and wanted white.
Out of your 3 choices I would go LG, then Half Moon Gray, Esker silver would be a distant third...
