There are pages of predictions and opinions flying by, hard to keep up. This stock will drop to less than half because the dismal ability to produce quantities of this beautiful, mid-size truck(tight back seats and small bed) will still take more of a beating. ThenTesla scoops it up, and it becomes their standard looking truck offer

The reason for optimism is in a single word: Amazon. They keep upping their stake in Rivian, and they are famous for picking the right path to success.

To be fair, there wasn't a 5pm or 6pm deadline (not that I'm aware of at least based on the communications I received). What they said was:
a) sometime after 5pm and
b) before 11:59pm Eastern Time (both)

So far, they're within that window

That is my understanding as well. Emails always stated "after 5pm" and you have "until 11:59pm" to accept. So they could email us at 11:58pm and we'd have 1 minute to smash that button.

Wonder if MS has incentive to reduce preorder ipo participation, if they get to keep the remainder of the shares not allocated to individuals.

Okay... you got me on technicalities! ; ) My initial take was, oh sh!t, I have to run three kids around to various practices in the evening and I have just 6 hours to respond to this confirmation?! Now, it's down to 3+ hours if the original confirmation deadline holds. Still an optimist, it'll all work out...

So the increase from 135 million shares to 153 million shares means that they are offering a larger percentage of the business or they are diluting the 15% and further raising our price. I am scaling back how much I buy because they are passing my risk tolerance.

Where do you see that? The S1 filing says “we’ll get the pre-orders out by the end of 2023 (two years). When will they be selling on the street?
