    Minor damage repair estimate: $49,880!

I think it's pretty clear that we should just by 2 of them at a time, one for a spare. Maybe a discount on the 2nd one? JK!

First winter drive that had 90% good thoughts that ended in maybe the 3rd worst outcome

I’ve had to replace 2 tires, both 21s, in 5500 miles. From this pic, seems like you should replace rather than repair, but ask. Mine was definitely in the replace area. At Discount Tire now. Sorry, it sucks.

PSA : print this sign before using spare tire / tire rotation by tire shop

Yeah I feel ya. Happened to me at night on a mountain road with no help. I am 69. Just happy to get off the mountain. I'm glad this was posted so others don't have to go through this.

PSA : print this sign before using spare tire / tire rotation by tire shop

Yes, it happened to me about a month after I got it. I was alone at 10 PM on a mountain road and needed to get home, was very stressed to say the least. I was able to contact CS about some questions that came up, but we didn't cover this. I'd already had the tire out. Live and learn.

Stop being a slave to the pump. What I realized driving a V8 loaner.

Oh yeah I remember those Costco lines! Although after I moved out of the city 5 years ago I was just using local. For you that's a HUGE deal! Congrats.

Stop being a slave to the pump. What I realized driving a V8 loaner.

And the CONVENIENCE of having a fueling station in your garage cannot be overstated!

Is anyone else as pissed off/frustrated at having to pay for the reinforced underbody just because I need the 20” wheels?

underbody protection is slightly more comfortable. I couldn't really say where or what could cause damage when you're not off-road, maybe accidentally backing over something that is higher than your current clearance in the dark. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ who knows? I don't do off roading, but I do drive...

Is anyone else as pissed off/frustrated at having to pay for the reinforced underbody just because I need the 20” wheels?

seems like pretty insurance to protect the most expensive component in the truck-- the batteries. It it does it's job once, it's worth it.

“New” Quad Motor R1T pricing is crazy and not sustainable (even if Cybertruck priced higher than original reveal price estimate)

When they did the price hike and didn't grandfather pre-orders for like one day, I was still going to buy it. Wasn't happy about it, but I'd over 2 years already. I feel sorry for those that canceled. I hope they were able to correct that mistake if Rivian allowed it.

PSA: Careful Parking on ANY Incline...

I'm sure this has been said, but you should get wheelblocks for the snow to prevent this. I bought them for tire changes bc if it's a rear tire, you'll have one less parking braked wheel.

Anyone Found Snow Cable Chains (or Chain Links) For Their 21" Tires?

This makes a lot of sense. What I did after this post is getting 4 20" AT and Rivian MS came out and installed them. Will wait on chains to see if ppl are using them and the results. I was concerned about calibration after so I could change them on my own, but MS tech says that is done...

Anyone looking at getting a snow plow attaching to front hooks?

I would think someone would come up with something that works with the tow hooks. Definitely an easier starting point then the Tesla.

I got an email from a Rivian authorized Xpel installer. For full body & ceramic it's $5300. Just took it in today. if you didn't get an email, maybe contact Customer Service and see if they have an installer in your area that offers Rivian discounts. they also do the full front for $1500, but...

They hit me in my driveway resulting in $21,195.95 repair bill

Go with the Rivian Authorized Body Shop. Hopefully they know how handle Insurance Co's that don't understand Rivians. My body shop in WA was great at this. working with aluminum body is very different from sheet metal I understand. My body shop got this discussion handled well. Don't be...
