Anything that helps alleviate towing issues is a plus. My vehicles in the past have spent a lot of time at over 30 degree bank angles. I'll bet the Rivian can go a long way but it gets more pricey when things go to far, lol.

Highly unlikely it's going to be calculated from a barometer, even if Rivian does have a hardware barometer hidden somewhere that we don't know about. Almost certainly will be GPS based, preferably GPS combined with map data for better accuracy. GPS will show you altitude relative to the datum, but the the datum is only an approximation of the Earth's shape. Don't expect it to be accurate to within a few meters.
