That's the point. Disabling Alexa is a good thing, not a bad thing. I mean, clearly, Alexa was already "disabled." Or "special."Looks like he's talking to Alexa not Rivian. Let's blame Bezos for this.
It’s not a Rivian problem lol. Alexa is being replaced by RA. That was communicate. They’re moving to a Google AI platform. Either they sai Alexa can’t work.Ok so I did latest software update enabling Rivian assistant. The problem is that it cancels out Alexa app.
You can’t switch from one to the other!
Rivian you have to fix this problem!
I was able to switch back to Alexa after disabling RA. It did force me to log out from Alexa after enabling it, then rescan the QR code to enable it and log back in. Rivian needs to make a standalone app for Amazon Music. It was a strange way to use a music streaming service with voice command alone to begin with.Quite a few posts on this. It is an absolute MISS by Rivian for Amazon Music alone....
For me, the notification pops up on the left side of the driver's screen. It doesn't persist though, so you might miss it if your eyes are elsewhere.I for one am pretty encouraged by the capabilities of RA. Sure, it has issues like any other early SW reveal, but the pros vastly outnumber the cons. I bet we’ll get Amazon Music back, for instance.
I do have one question though. Perhaps it “just doesn’t do that yet,” but has anyone been able to get messages to pop up on screen when they come in? Right now I have to know there’s a new message and tell RA to read it before it visually populates the center screen and is read aloud by RA. I’ve re-connected my phone, checked all the settings that it tells me to, and done a soft reset on my ‘25 R1S. No joy…
As well as 1. close garage door, 2. pop frunk, 3. close frunk...all work first try...Let’s try to list what’s improved because of RA.
1. “Open garage door”
I had issues using popup button on screen before because when I wanted to use it, it didn’t show on screen yet. But if I started to turn into my short driveway the steering wheel usually hide button so I can’t use. I had to park car and then hit on screen button now that steering wheel was straight up. Then waiting for my very slow garage door to open gradually. Now I can ask RA to open before button appears and by the time I stop car my garage is already wide open. Now that’s improvement.
Mine pops up on the left of the drivers screen under the consumption graph.I for one am pretty encouraged by the capabilities of RA. Sure, it has issues like any other early SW reveal, but the pros vastly outnumber the cons. I bet we’ll get Amazon Music back, for instance.

Are you using Google Calendar? Right now that is the only one supported.Rivian Assistant is unable to do anything with "drive to my next appointment," which obviously works with CarPlay. Oddly it doesn't give an error or anything, just quickly turns off, nothing more.
Yes, it said it's connected. Obviously it can't see my on-phone calendar. Are you using Google Calendar? Right now that is the only one supported.
Could this be the issue?Yes, it said it's connected. Obviously it can't see my on-phone calendar.
