    Massive Tesla Reddit Auto-ban happening

It doesn't matter what you post on RealTesla, the auto bans just happen now. This is a clear violation of Reddit guidelines. I suspect there will be big fallout from this once news sites get hold of this.

    Massive Tesla Reddit Auto-ban happening

Well, it seems like if you make ANY type of post or comment on the reddit sub RealTesla, the mods of the subs CyberTruck, TeslaMotors and TeslaLounge are auto banning you. I posted a response to one of the threads commenting if the auto sites (i.e. AutoBlog, Jalopnik, etc) were going to call...

Vandalism on Rivian - sharing for awareness

At this point, I'd say your best bet in catching them is to report the story and video to local news stations. They love to air issues like this. In the end, I hope you can catch this dumbass.

Do you talk to other Rivian Owners while charging?

Seeing as I predominantly charge in my garage, I keep a chair and mirror nearby so I can give myself daily affirmations:

    Powder Coated 21's

Nice. If I ever get a curb/damage to my 21's I definitely plan on powder coating. Black looks good. I'll try to match the gray accent in the current 21's if I ever have to powder coat.

Newsom just signed sliding scale electric rates... Defeated

Yes, from what I hear NEM 1.0 was even better. A true 1:1 exchange. At least for NEM 2.0 (which I have), you can roll over generation month to month and only lose excess generation once a year at your true-up. I believe that NEM 3.0 does not roll over every month. For me, I have about 1.5...

Newsom just signed sliding scale electric rates... Defeated

I believe the kwh credit for NEM 3.0 is very low (in the single cents) and is not equivalent to the rate at which it was generated (current NEM 2.0). I also believe that any credits do not roll over to the next month. This is why they are pushing users to get battery storage. This works out...

Newsom just signed sliding scale electric rates... Defeated

That's positive news. Now they need to repeal NEM 3.0 and revert back to NEM 2.0. Solar installs have tanked as there is no incentive to sell (or store excess) solar generation back to the grid.

Newsom just signed sliding scale electric rates... Defeated

Yea, this will be complete BS if it is eventually implemented. The last thing I want is for So Cal Edison to have access to my tax records!!!

    Possible Fisker Bankruptcy

Looks like BK is imminent. Available vehicles have been pulled from their site. The Death Rattle has begun. Too bad, because the fundamentals of the vehicle seem OK, SW is what needs updating. https://electrek.co/2024/03/25/fiskers-talks-with-large-automaker-fall-through-announcement-pending/

    Insurance + Data logging

I received a letter from Lexis Nexis today with a link to download my report. It's quite long with every historical phone number, address, email address, credit inquiry, loan and recent insurance claim (glass chip repair). I can confirm that there is no driving data from Rivian (or Lucid) in...

Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

After my 12V battery was replaced, mine dropped to ~0.7%, I did another test and disabled vehicle WiFi and 24hr use dropped to 0.5~0.6% ... I agree, I don't think that there is anything else we can do until Rivian further optimizes 12V usage. But for those that are seeing their vehicle wake up...

Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

I had my R1S serviced in Eastvale, CA and one of my complaints was constant waking every 2ish hrs for 45min-1hr (GG, etc off) and was originally seeing about 2-3% drain, but subsequent drain after recent FW dropped to 1ish% -- confirmed using Electrafi. They diagnosed and found that the 12V...

    Rodent attack...now what?

What company / type of policy do you have? This should be covered under your Comprehensive insurance. I've never heard of a rodent-specific exclusion. If you insurance company insists, have them point out in the policy where the exclusion is called out.
