  1. Bug Tare-Away Shield for R1 Front End Needed

The point of this product is that it's water soluble, so a simple rinse washes off the product and the bugs that got stuck to the product. It is really pretty trivial to wash off, unlike washing off the bugs without the product where even a good scrubbing doesn't get them all. It lasts for a...

  3. Tesla Supercharging (NACS Charging) Now Available in Rivian App! Step By Step Instructions

Because there has been so much wrong information and speculation and confusion being posted about this issue ever since the announcement back in June.
  4. EA broke my truck*

How did this thread become an open forum for complaints against EA? All you're doing at this point is spreading disinformation and using this post as an excuse to dump on EA for your own personal reasons. There is no evidence that EA "broke" anything here. Perhaps it did, but likely it didn't...
  5. Any updates on when NACS port will be added to the R1T / R1S?

Has Rivian ever said (officially, that is) that they will be putting a NACS port on the R1? I think it's safe to assume that it will happen at some point in the future, but that's not soon. The R2 is going to have a NACS port in 2026. Until then, there are adapters. Switching to NACS in the R1...
  6. EA broke my truck*

Whoa, wait a minute - you went straight to blaming EA based on what? That you happened to be charging at the time? If electrical items on the passenger side of the car fail while the driver's side still works, that sounds a lot like a failure of one of the two 12V batteries in the Rivian (they...
  7. ⚡️ Rivian announces: March Tesla Supercharger access & free NACS adapters!

I agree - an opt-in model is far more likely. I expect that when Rivian is ready to ship, they will send out an email telling us what we have to do to get an adapter.
  8. Official from Rivian: Powered Tonneau Cover now available on select R1T configurations and priced at $500

I don't think there's a shortage of repair parts. As we all know, Rivian's biggest bottleneck is the service center network - they simply don't have the capacity to adequately deal with repairs and retrofitting. New builds get the PTC installed at the factory, which doesn't delay the production...
  9. Official from Rivian: Powered Tonneau Cover now available on select R1T configurations and priced at $500

$500 has to be wrong. The PTC on my Launch Edition has always worked - 18 months, and used every day. I'm in no hurry to get a replacement.
  10. My Airbnb charging kit

You got the wrong adapter. Return it. That is for RVs. You want one for EVs. They are wired differently. I use this adapter for charging from a TT-30 outlet at RV parks using my Rivian Portable Charger: https://www.amazon.com/Parkworld-885378A-Adapter-TT-30P-14-50R/dp/B07G2MT4T6 I have...
  11. Anyone get their Tesla Adapter yet?

Agreed. Here's an idea: Rivian should ship the entire batch of adapters to an Amazon warehouse, electronically enter orders for all R1 owners, then let Amazon deal with the fulfillment and tracking and replacement of damaged items etc.
  12. Anyone get their Tesla Adapter yet?

Yup. But at least it can be orderly. The Ford owners do have some basis to complain because of how Ford did this (a free-for-all, not announced ahead of time). If Rivian defines a logical sequence ahead of time then sticks to it, then IMO the only complaints will be from selfish and entitled...
  13. Anyone get their Tesla Adapter yet?

Well no one knows for sure, but the first step is certainly to make sure you have a Rivian account and that your email address and mailing address are correct. I expect when Rivian obtains the adapters they will send us an email telling us what to expect and when. In the case of Ford, Ford...
  14. Orientation of the TMBK Roof Top Tent

If you have it opening over the back then you make it difficult to use the bed and the tailgate. I set up my kitchen on the tailgate and keep my powered cooler in the bed so I can slide it out. I wouldn't even be able to open the cooler if it were underneath the opened tent. I have my iKanper...
  15. Dash BRAKE light stays on continuously. Normal?

I was responding directly to the question in the original post: The answer is "YES" this is something you should be concerned about because it should not be on continuously. Maybe your parking brake sensor is bad or something along those lines.
  16. New RAN Adventure Network charging stations up in Daytona Beach FL, Cheyenne WY, Newburgh NY

Yes I have. Evanston and Rawlins EA worked well, maxing out at about 220kW. And a bonus is that in WY you pay by the minute for your charges, so they were REALLY cheap compared to the pay per-kWh like other states. I did call EA a day before I got to Rawlins to confirm that it was working (it...
