Yup, I can hear that fucking clatter at 7 sec mark. It sounds like blown out struts.

That noise is normal for the installed dampers, but a new part has been produced to replace it. Rivian isn't going to make it easy for you. This might be a situation where some SCs will do it and others won't. If I have to drive it across the country and back, I will.
Is there something like a corporate support line where we can complain about this?

I might try the chat tomorrow.

FWIW I received a survey link from Rivian for my first 30 days of ownership.

My comments were harsh. Hope someone over there takes notice.

Quick followup on this.

I finally contacted Rivian through the chat, asking if I could get a second opinion on the squeaking issue.

The person asked me to enter the detail in a service request, including the video. And then instead of sending it to my local service center in Montreal, she'll forward it to Illinois.

I'm curious to see what the response will be.

Took in my R1S earlier this week and did a drive with a technician who was well aware of (and sympathetic to) this issue. He recognized the squeak/chirp sound immediately. He mentioned that his understanding was that only trucks manufactured prior to a certain date were eligible to have the jounce lines replaced (which I guess makes sense if they started putting the new jounce lines on Gen1 vehicles at some point?). I was contacted through the Rivian app yesterday and told that they were going to make the swap out the jounce lines and that they would need to keep my car for at least part of next week. This is the first service appointment I've had where I've received any substantive updates on what is actually happening with my vehicle and I really appreciated it (and hope this is the new normal).

How loud are the squeaks? I ask because I have a really early R1T and there is a fairly subtle squeak over bumps and I might ask this be done before I am out of warranty.

Also noting my last service visit was awesome! They really seem to be making progress and hope it continues at all service centers!

The squeaks aren't super loud - if the windows are down or if you've got music playing at all it's hard to hear them. And I only hear them over rough/uneven pavement when I'm traveling under 25-30mph. But I do lots of city driving which is almost always at these lower speeds and the roads are terrible, so I hear the noise quite a bit. It sounds like someone jiggling a toilet handle to stop a toilet from running - sort of a mix of a fluid moving and metal squeaking. It's relatively high pitched. I find it incredibly annoying.

Totally agree on the service center; such a better experience this time around.

Mine are subtle, but they're replacing under warranty. Learn from my mistake, tell them it's front and back, I only said front so that's all they're replacing ?

I said both front and back were squeaking, but they only replaced the front. Not sure if there even are rear jounce lines, but the squeaks are gone.

Interesting, they specifically said "front jounce lines" which made my think there are both, and I noticed a rear squeak when I was headed to the service center. That made me a sad riviot.

Reporting back: service had my R1S for a week. They replaced the jounce lines, recharged the AC, and fixed part of the stainless/chrome trim that was bulging out over the rear door. I would say that 95% of the squeaks are gone - truly a game changer. I still get a little chirp every now and again, but the difference is night and day. There's still a little bit of clunking, but it's just so much quieter. 10/10, would recommend.

Thanks for the feedback. Mine is going in on October 22 for similar work.

Another successful jounce line replacement here! I still need to try our lower base speed bump test zone, but my garage squeaks and normal transit bump squeaks are gone.
That is great to hear! Unfortunately for me the jounce squeal has been downgraded to the lowest now on my list of concerns about the suspension. I'm going ahead to get the jounce line fix in November, but my truck will still sound awful due to the noisy dampers and loose half shafts.
