I’ve seen a few posts about this Geiger counter sounding rattle coming from an R1S B pillar or rear door. I’ve got this happening on my passenger side. Super annoying and desperate to find a solution.

I saw the post saying to add felt tape between the door trim and metal of the door. Worked for a few days and it’s back.

If anyone has a service center work order that describes the fix, please send my way. I have a service appointment next week. Many thanks! I’ve added a video of the sound for reference.

I'd be interested in hearing about solutions for this too. I have intermittent rattling coming from back there too.

I had this rattle fixed in the Pilar behind my rear passenger door. The “TC bracket was missing a nut.

Could be the seat belt retractor. It was on mine and they replaced the whole thing. These things apparently have a small explosive charge and they don't like messing with it.

Try having someone pull seat belt hard all the way to the end and holding it for a little while. It should confirm it. As always, be careful doing this while driving.

I have this same rattle, but in my R1T. Please keep us posted after your service appointment. Service appt wait times are 3 months near me, so hoping to resolve it myself.

Please update with any results after your service visit. I have the same on my R1T passenger b pillar/door area waiting on a service appt in Oct.
I didn't notice it until months after I took delivery, since my noise goes away whenever its consistently below 45F outside.

I had something that sounded just like this and thought it was inside the car.

Turns out a helicopter seed got stuck in the small gap between my rooftop glass and the vehicle and was just rattling back and forth.

So, not saying this is the norm for everyone, but just check those crevices to make sure they're cleaned out. I almost put in a service ticket for it too! :D

Whaaat haha. This is wild and I will certainly check out the glass channel. If it’s that simple, I will owe you one big time haha. Cheers!

Tried this morning and as I was holding the seatbelt tight, the rattle was still going. Appreciate the suggestion as I’m open to it all. Especially if I can fix myself.

Subscribing as I too have this exact noise in my R1T! Driving me nuts. Sounds closer to rear door but haven’t gotten anyone to sit back there to troubleshoot yet.

I can make my noise go away by pressing on the door rear door panel between the speakers and it comes back when I let go. If you move the passenger seat back you might be able to try yourself. I find that highway rumble strips and back roads with bumpy shoulders are good at provoking the noise.

I have something similar on my drivers side.

I just had a similar (the same?) rattle fixed. I thought it was the headliner chattering against the glass but is was the middle row left side passenger door. Something inside the door was rattling. Took an entire day at a service center but they did somehow fix it. They thought it might require a new door or trip to an auto body shop to take the door apart. Praying it doesn't come back because the rattle made the car undrivable. Its all i could hear.
