  1. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

That part, about what's left in the inventory, is worrisome. Does it exclude the "refreshed" R1 once they resume production after the April factory upgrades? We're supposed to have access in May (early?) so hopefully there's still a lot of vehicles available.
  2. Experience shopping for an EV9 vs R1S - Update

You can add Tesla and Lucid as the manufacturers that use something like the exchange rate (plus or minus) to set the Canadian pricing. Just about everybody else has way more reasonable pricing for our market. Just look at the Silverado RST. $105k in the US, $122k in Canada. Totally agree with...
  3. Experience shopping for an EV9 vs R1S - Update

Just want to add a Canadian perspective here on the pricing comparison. The cheapest R1S I can configure (dual motor, standard battery) with a choice of paint and interior comes to $84000 CAD. And this is after I apply my 29% voucher. I can configure a nice EV9 Land with Premium package for...
  4. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

On a related price topic, is it confirmed or not that the R1T/R1S are not subject to the federal luxury tax? As it seems the GVWR is above the limit specified by the tax.
  5. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

That's what I got with the configurator. I don't think taxes are included. The $133K is, in my opinion, just insane. I would not consider the truck if I didn't have early reservation pricing.
  6. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

I just connected to my account (was away on vacation this last week). I'm being offered a 29% voucher. So just to make sure I understand, that would be 29% of the normal vehicle price right? For example I just configured an R1T, DM performance FG+OC for $133,300. 29% of that is $38,657. So...
  7. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

BTW anybody knows when is the next refresh for the delivery coming? That would give us an indication if things are still on track. I'm also curious to see if my delivery window will change (was July-Sep 2024) after switching my config from max pack to large pack.
  8. Max Pack vs Large Pack range test (by Out of Spec)

If you check the 10% challenge by OutOfSpec on the same two R1T as in the test above you'll see the curve, for 15 mins, is essentially the same. No significant difference. In fact the Max pack received slightly less kwh in those 15 mins.
  9. Max Pack vs Large Pack range test (by Out of Spec)

Time to switch my order from max to large pack. Would be interesting if someone did a poll to see how many people are willing to take max over large pack after seeing this result.
  10. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

Just drove by yesterday. No apparent changes from the outside.
  11. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

I just passed by today, and no changes. No signs of activity either. As a side note, fantastic meeting with @RivianNE on Saturday. I could better appreciate all the niceties of the R1T (especially since my order switched from an R1S to the R1T). I'm also happy to report that the vehicle...
  12. Canadian delivery timeframe

Just got my update. Moved forward for the first time! Went from Oct-Dec 2024 to July-Sep 2024.
  13. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

I've seen your Rivian, back in 2022, along with @PostMinivanDad . But my wife hasn't! So I would be interested. BTW how's your R1T. Still satisfied?
  14. New 2025 Ram and Ramcharger PHEV Hybrid revealed

In the Silverado EV towing test at TFL, they drove roughly 4 hours and depleted just under 200kwh. So consumption was around 50kw constant. That's quite below the 130kw (and 190kw peak?) of the generator. I don't think it will be screaming. As others have mentioned it will keep a good...
  15. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

I did not see anything related to charging infrastructure. I wonder if it could be at the back of the building. Next time I'll drive around.
  16. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

OK, just back from the SC (well, future SC!). It was definitely quiet. Only one pickup was parked there already. I could not see activity inside. The area inside was fairly empty. See pics below. As I was going to leave, another vehicle arrived and the person asked me if I was working for...
  17. Montreal service center location is confirmed!

I'm not far from there. Will try to pass by tomorrow or Monday.
  18. R1T dual+max pack EPA ratings, 91/77 MPGe, are these legit?

Just saw in another thread someone selling a R1T dual performance + max pack. The last picture shows the EPA consumption figures. 91 MPGe in city and 77 MPGe in the highway. I couldn't find this configuration on the EPA website, but a R1T dual performance + large pack shows 82 city and 74...
  19. Over 500mi of range (mostly highway) for the Silverado EV.

    Very impressive result!
  20. 232mi for the Silverado EV in TFL's towing range test.

That's the advantage of a large battery. You can reduce/postpone public charging. Costs less. Less stress on the battery as well and longer longevity.
