Geiger counter rattle sound from B Pillar/rear door.

I just had a similar (the same?) rattle fixed. I thought it was the headliner chattering against the glass but is was the middle row left side passenger door. Something inside the door was rattling. Took an entire day at a service center but they did somehow fix it. They thought it might require a new door or trip to an auto body shop to take the door apart. Praying it doesn't come back because the rattle made the car undrivable. Its all i could hear.

I have the same issue, it has only worsened over time to now it drives me crazy! I have to always have the radio on to drown it out, put in a ticket but earliest appt is mid September....

I'm up for temporary solutions until then.

Are you sure it’s the B pillar and not the seat? Check this out:

Just watched the video of your sound and that’s exactly the rattle I have. Does your service ticket say what they did to resolve? They usually have something that describes a fix in there. “Remove and replace” type of language. Describes the action related to the fix. And what service center did you go to? I can tell my SC where the fix occurred and hopefully they can connect. @Jper123 Thank you for the reply and help!

i was going to suggest some rubber seals if the sound came from the seams at the top (sunroof) side. But it looks like even within this thread, there are subtle variances on where the sound originates from.

Tap the headliner between the b pillar and the second row grab handle. In my case, it was the headliner or something immediately behind it causing the rattle. I was able to wedge a piece of foam between the headliner and the glass roof to stop 100% of the rattling.

Verified with my wife if we push on the RR door upper grill, our noise will go away. I have a service date for August for this issue among other things. Will report back once fixed!

Damn wish I saw this thread before dropping off the car this morning at the SC.

I typically have both car seats strapped in and won’t hear any rattles, but took out the driver side car seat this morning before heading to the service center and immediately noticed an annoying rattle. Likely the seatbelt in my case. Will try to monitor once I have the car back.

Update: The service team addressed a rattle in the back door as this geiger counter sound wasn‘t presenting when I took the truck in. It was a warmer day so I think conditions influence the sound. Naturally, the sound is there and presenting again. We’ve had some cooler days and there it is. I’ve attached another video to reference the noise. It seems to be either in the front door or the B pillar. Honestly not too sure and trying to locate it. We’ve ruled out the rear doors, seats, and roof. If anyone has had something like this resolved at service, please let me know. I’m going to take it back in and would love to have some into to share with my service team. Cheers everyone!

Mine was in service last week and funny enough, the brand new (gen 1) R1T they gave me for a loaner has the exact same noise ?

luckily they fixed mine and so far so good. They said they put insulation around the RR speaker grill.
