Guide told me today that they are reverting back to truck delivery to the service centers to speed things up because rail is slow right now. He also told me they're matching 100-150 trucks a day, so it's a process of their order matching team matching trucks with confirmed configurations.

i think it's a T vs S thing with regards to 2022 orders like myself getting early windows
If that's the case then perhaps my 4/22 R1T order with arrive before my 3/19 R1S order.

and a configuration thing, and a distance to service center thing, and a production assembly thing, and a new company thingā€¦

I wouldnā€™t be surprised by that at all, unless itā€™s a max pack r1t

I had a guide assigned and confirmed my config on 11/9. I have had some exchange with my guide but haven't seen any further progress. When I asked, my guide said the Dec/Jan delivery still stood and that I needed to wait for my VIN to be assigned. I was a Nov 21 order with delivery to VA.

Probably also using trucks to try and hit end of year/end of quarter goal also. Canā€™t blame them.

Similar timing here. Also waiting on a VIN. Guide anticipates Dec delivery, but no guarantees.

Iā€™m in the same boat, just had a call with my guide today. Hoping for end of year.

Its Friday - How about some mass 8 Step emails?
Been checking my email all day...no joy!

It's almost exactly 6 wks till the end of the year.. for those of us who haven't gotten the 8-Step email by now... it's looking like we will need a holiday miracle to get our vehicles before 2023.

If I do somehow get a VIN in the next couple of weeks.. my first question will be is it a 2022 or 2023 VIN? If it's a 2022 VIN.. I will have to think on that a bit as I usually keep vehicles 3yrs or less.

FWIW:

New here, but think I've caught up on most of this topic. Did everyone lose the Dec-Jan 2023 Estimated Delivery window when you confirmed your configuration or is that a corner case for only some of us? Trying to understand how much planning to put into receiving a truck in the next two months vs. a rolling reset of timelines.

I didnā€™t lose my Dec-Jan window when I confirmed my configuration.
