Yes really. EV Sportline in particular. Multiple posts here and reddit, possibly by same individuals. I think I've decided on GOAT, just need to figure out how to get them installed (dumb HOA rules).
Drive to a friend’s house for the added benefit of having someone to help lift while someone tightens. ;) Or use some combination of an inverted bucket and multiple limbs like us loaners!

+1 for the Megawatts!
Recently abused them pretty hard on the Kokopelli trail and they were life savers... especially when one corner of the air suspension went out and I had to finish the trail in 'lowest' ride height!!!

Oh and... I love the extra 'kickout'!

I have made heavy use of my megawatt sliders. They are seriously beefy. I've put the full weight of the truck down onto them, both sliding and dropping it, and they hold up great.

Yes, they're more expensive. They're hand tig welded, and as a hardware guy that sort of stuff matters to me. Inspecting the welds when it first showed up was fun: It's really really well made.

Your profile says CA, we may visit the same mountain areas. The granite in the Sierra Nevadas is nothing to mess with, and the megawatt sliders took the anxiety out of pushing this truck to, and then beyond, its limits.
These are what I have. I think they’re the best but have no personal comparison.

My rock crawling will be pretty minimal with my Gen2 R1T but there will be lots of off-roading trails and around our property in the CO Mountains. I also like the added protection against other cars, car doors, and the step factor.

Leaning towards the Megawatt vs Goat as I like the additional underside protection and the kickoff in the back for stepping into the back. Looks like all the plastic panelling is removed and left off?

I've heard conflicting reports of which sliders/boards work on Gen2. Someone said the Goat sliders will fit because they selected the mounting bolts that are the same across gen1/gen2. Is there confirmation from Gen2 owners?

Mounting points are different. All you have to do is skip hearsay, go right to product page of each mentioned in this thread, see or ask if there are gen 2 versions available.

Called Weistec today - they said rock sliders for Gen 2 R1S will start shipping in about 4 weeks, possibly before Christmas. Don’t see them listed on their website yet (only sliders for Gen 1). Thank God - my vertically challenged wife loves our new Rivvy but struggles getting in and out, even in kneel mode. Sliders should stop the bitching 😃

The DCE Weistec ones didn't cover the factory jack points on my Gen1 R1T, and while the mobile tech at my house today didn't need to jack the car up, when I asked him questions about it he said this was all fine.

I was able to do the install by myself because their installation procedure involves loosening some (not all) of the bolts to about half an inch of clearance, and then sliding and "hanging" the sliders from those loosened bolts, while you tighten and install the remaining bolts. I was able to put the slider on my lap and lift it onto the hanging bolts myself.

There is some debate about the force needed to tighten the large bolts... I overrode their instructions with common sense and used a lower setting on my torque wrench.

If I had to do it again, I would seriously consider the GOAT ones due to price, looks, reviews, exposing the factory jack points, and because I tend to think @Dark-Fx knows what they are talking about . But I am happy with the ones I have, I got them on sale so it wasn't too bad, and they are high quality.

IIRC, it's an issue (with DCE's) if Service ever need to drop the HV pack. GOAT does not use those HV Pack bolts.

There is a black sheet metal bracket that spans between the frame bolts and battery bolt that ends up covered by the GOAT sliders. I took our sliders off before service when there was a chance they had to drop the pack for the 120V inverter fuse (they did).

I asked Rivian service what purpose the bracket serves, and they couldn't give me an answer. It doesn't look strong enough to support the weight of the battery, I think maybe it might be for assisting alignment of the pack during the robotic installation at the factory. Haven't seen under a Gen2 to know if it's still there.

If there is a "next time", I'll pull the sliders off, pull the bracket off, and then put the sliders back on and see what happens.

Good point. When does that need to happen? Only in exceptional cases, or is that necessary for any routine maintenance, etc?
In case of HV Pack failure... or any other component that require its removal. They shouldn't need to do it for maintenance.

I have DCE Weistec and as others have mentioned, installation was a piece of cake. No modification needed to install. In the rare case that I would need to remove them, I don't see it being an issue.

I had my vehicle serviced by Rivian and they didn't give me any troubles. The same results when I had my tires changed; no problems lifting the vehicle.

I really enjoy them. It makes getting in and out of the vehicle so much easier without having to lower the suspension down. Changing rims at home is also easier and safer because I can use jack stands at almost any spot on the rails.

Even when the sliders got muddy, there was plenty of grip for my shoes.

I purchased mine during the Labor Day sale. It took awhile to ship, but their customer service was easy to contact to get updates.
