Anyone have any insight?
Many people report that if the sliders are involved in the jack points in any way, they will force you to remove them or charge you to remove them. It's extremely stupid, but you should see how stupid they were about my little attachment rails in the bed. They wanted $200 to remove them, even though they would just fall off on their own! So you just have to know there's an unknown.

I have the Megawatts and they have been perfect. I did Mineral Creek in Ouray, CO which I couldn't have done without them. Came down hard on them once and they didn't flinch. The EV sportline ones weighed about double, so I ruled them out. I don't like the GOAT fabrication ones very much because the supports/bolt points are not that far under the car, they're kind of all close to the edge it looks like. So I think they would be the first to bend/fail compared to the other options. Weistec seemed good too, I just thought they were overpriced a bit.

Funny, the design is exactly why I do like them. I don't want any involvement with the battery bolts. They included higher strength bolts than what ships with the truck. So far I haven't heard of anyone damaging their vehicle from them. I've come about a foot down onto the slider with both wheels on that side staying in the air the whole time, and didn't have any problems. Material is also thicker than the competition.

I have the GOAT for a few reasons.

1. The step board things are ugly. I think of a 70s station wagon with running boards. But you can get that if you want, on the GOAT sliders. I will privately mock you, LOL.

2. The EV Sportline and some others have an insanely complicated installation. It's a joke. It's a huge mess and way harder than it needs to be. The GOAT mounts are simple and solid. After downloading and printing the EV Sportline instructions I said, "HELL NO."

3. The owner of GOAT used to own Ace. Those rails are well proven on Jeeps, and I've had them on all my Jeeps which got abused hard.

4. Factory jack puck points are not messed with; some/most/all of the others do. This has been an issue at service centers and tire shops. I've experienced a SC issue with a much more minor mod that wouldn't affect anything and they were assholes about it.

In short, IMO there's simply no reason to consider the others. I've looked at all of them for months and just didn't like the options. When GOAT first contacted me, I was elated.

In the GOAT thread there was someone who reported rusting, but no follow up (that I can recall). How are yours holding up? Did you cut and reinstall the plastic trims or leave them off?

Another thing to add to the discussion... Megawatt sliders do have the kick-out towards the rear, which provides more protection. However, pending how extreme and how hard one uses their truck, not everyone needs that.

Thanks. I guess I'll wait a bit longer and see if someone comes up with a better option. I was hoping Rivian would introduce their own, which would negate the SC issue, but doesn't look as if that's going to happen.

I live in AZ. What is "rust?" Confused. ?‍♂ But in any case, they'd just get surface rust that won't mean much, since the metal is so thick. You can always hit those areas with CorrosionX.

I cut the panels. That took more time than the actual sliders, seriously. I don't know if it matters, but decided to. I did not try to make them pretty or a tight fit, which would take much longer.

It's a compromise, I personally find that super hideous and IMO, worthless. Or at least, very unlikely to help. On my past off road vehicles I just never hit that part, it was mostly the front through middle or maybe 2/3 back.

Don't you get monsoon rains there from time to time? I lived in Vegas (Henderson) for a year and saw one rain storm that was more severe than 15+ years in Oregon. Like 4' visibility. But, I agree, surface rust is just cosmetic (but those who don't know are alarmed by it).

(Could you add links to your reply above?)
Easy enough to just Google search the names and add "rivian" to the search string? Or, on a iOS device you could select the text and choose "look up"? Android probably have similar capability.

Yes, but much like Vegas, it's dry quickly after, and rust really doesn't exist here. I've left my scraped up sliders on the Jeeps as-is for months, and nothing happened. Or they'd have a light stain. We just had some insane rain, and now we have neighborhood lakes, but I'd never know otherwise.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'm sold. Time to save up for Black Friday.

And to add, since GOAT's sliders do not cover up access to the factory jack points, least likely for Service Center to have issues for service appointments. There are multiple posts of people being asked to have their [other brand] sliders removed or were turned away from their appointments.
really? ?

Yes really. EV Sportline in particular. Multiple posts here and reddit, possibly by same individuals. I think I've decided on GOAT, just need to figure out how to get them installed (dumb HOA rules).
