I"m interested in what you folks do with your cars? Do you hand wash primarily, or do you use an automatic car wash?

If you autowash, do you lease?

I autowash and lease.

I use the guy that comes to the office to hand wash the vehicle.

If you want it to actually be clean, hand wash.

Mix of both for me. During the winter I use a membership to a touchless automatic wash and dry by hand. During the warm months I’ll do it by hand if i have the time. I also do a quick ceramic coating once a year to help keep things a bit cleaner.

I owned and hand-washed my M4 Comp. I also had it ceramic coated, so it would have been wasted on auto washing. I use a monthly membership car wash now, and it's easy to just run the R1 through on my way home from work. It even applies the right amount of tire shine, haha. It's the little things in life.

Hand wash unless it's really cold in the winter then it's touchless only to knock off some of the salt.

Not sure what one has to do with the other, but touchless auto wash almost all the time as I have a membership and wash 2-3 times a month, more if it snows a lot. Biggest thing is in winter the wash place I use has the undercarriage wash to get rid of salt. If what you're really asking is if anyone uses an auto wash with brushes...those people are crazy and just don't care about their paint regardless of whether they own or lease.

Hand wash nearly all the time, except in winter if it's really dirty I'll take it to the touchless to knock off the worst of it. I do ceramic coating every ~2 years as well.

Most of the time, hand wash means a "waterless" wash in my garage with Optimum No Rinse, 2 bucket method and followed up with Griot's Speed Shine as a drying aid. Used this process for years. I typically do it once a week, it only takes 20 minutes or so. Only if the car is really dirty and the weather is nice will I pull it out and do a full on driveway wash with the hose a couple of times a year.

I do automatic washes and I own. But mine is silver. I would never do that with dark paint.

2 buckets aren't needed with ONR, FYI.

My name is Mike, and I have a (car) problem
Primarily and wash, with occasional touchless. On the ones I own and lease.

But I live somewhere that "cold" is defined as under 50F, so take this with a grain of salt.
