Also keep in mind when the ICE is idling it is also creating heat from the engine and exasperating the lower airflow with additional heat around the vehicle.
In addition the EV uses less power to just run the A/C vs letting the 200+ hp ICE idle to do the same function. If I have a short stop...
I found that I liked having the direct connection to the engine with a manual transmission vs the automatics with torque converter etc.
The EV extends that same connection to the motor with one gear from zero to 100+ mph. The direct connection is still with an EV. Just not the shifting to...
After looking again the stone seemed to bounce forward with great force vs the low speed of the vehicle. In addition looks like the vehicle would have rode up on top of the stone the way the front bumper hit the top of it. The stone flew forward like it was hit underneath.
Bolder seemed to bounce more than I would expect also.
Almost like a foam or fiberglass prop made to look like a stone. Landscapers use these to save money.
Or maybe it is real.
If I was local I would be over kicking a few rocks to see what gives.
That should be fine. Is this a fused disconnect? Seems odd that 48 amps would open a 60 amp fuse like that.
Probably need to electrician to come check. Should be no surge as the charger ramps power up slowly.
Clamp-on ammeter would tell the story. I assume there is no heat building up from...
Tesla Wall Connector will also derate if the internal power connection gets hot.
No indication of error on the Tesla unit?
Easy to open and check the torque on the wires.
The independent functions are fairly simple. Integration with the other thousand functions gets exponentially more difficult as features are added.
I constantly see software upgrades that miss continuing functionality. Features and functions just disappear in name of progress. Not a Rivian...
Looks like smoke from inside the lid. I believe it is a bad connection in the junction box.
Tesla actually has a heat sensor for the wires that provide power to the Tesla terminals. Will throttle or stop charging if over temp is detected. Don't ask how I know
I would find an integrated EVSE that would export to vehicle before exporting to the grid to have substantial extra value. Exporting to the grid is a rather poor value on the latest solar rate tariff plan in my area.
Solar first powers the home, second fills the battery, excess is exported for...
Not sure what number are looked and yet until R2 was released the R1 was carrying the full administrative and factory burden. Those costs can now be shared. Need to know the true variable cost to build R1 before declaring no money is made.
