Odd issue - Steering wheel position changed by itself
Thereās only one explanation ā¦ My seat sometimes misbehaves (I have roomy entry/exit turned on). I cannot find any correlation, except one, and thatās if the car goes to sleep while itās unlocked, seems to happen more often.- mikehmb

20” Bright wheels apparently discontinued
They announced that a while back, but kept then around for a bit longer than expected. Itās a bummer - I like them. Especially since they open up all sorts of options for color customization. -

R1T wind buffeting is bad.
Iāve never had a car where I could only open the rear windows and not feel like my eardrums were going to blow out. The buffeting is bad on the R1T, but IMO no worse than any other vehicle Iāve owned. Was so bad on my last Tundra Iād actually lock out the windows so my kids didnāt accidentally...- mikehmb

Good news that they got it diagnosed so quickly. This is the first Iāve heard of the heater module failing but it does make a lot of sense given the symptoms you described. fwiw catastrophic failures are rare - surprisingly so for a new OEM and new vehicle. Auto climate control?
Rivian absolutely perform(s)(ed) interior temp control to protect electronics - esp the displays. Iāve seen it first hand a number of times. Unclear if it still does as it hasnāt gotten hot enough here since last summer. May have been deprecated in software if it wasnāt necessary per Rivian...- mikehmb

Brake Failure and Axle Boot Tear
Brake fluid is relatively clear. Itās difficult to see with the mess that your CV joint made as to what other leaks may be in there. If some debris/etc managed to slice your CV it may also have damaged your brake line.- mikehmb

Welcome to the EV club! Definitely familiarize yourself with some of the details of EV ownership - terminology, charging networks (itās a mixed bag at best), adapters, etc. The Rivian is by far our best EV of the three weāve owned, and IMO much better than the last gas truck we had. -

āMiles per hourā is dependent on the efficiency of the vehicle. What the vehicle accepts in terms of kW (and amperage) will determine how quickly - or slowly - the battery can charge. -

The Rivian charger is fine, but doesnāt provide any real useful features except you can see it in the Rivian app (but canāt control it, at least with whatever s/w version mine is on). Personally, I prefer super dumb chargers. Theyāre cheap, donāt break, and donāt get fussy with questionable... -

Reno->Vegas if staying entire in Nevada is doable, but sketchy. The charging infrastructure along 95 simply doesnāt exist in quantity or quality. If youāre willing to go 395 via Bishop, itās much more doable and much less sketchy, but that last stretch Bishop->Vegas is >250 miles without a...- mikehmb

Air Compressor - help
Does yours run high, or keep running until you manually shut it off? Iāve got the latter problem - never shuts off. The compressor is known to under-read the pressure by around 4psi, so in theory, if youāre aiming for 48, you should set the compressor to 44. I did that a few minutes ago... -

You can change the starting and ending SOC in the app. put in your start and stop points there will be a battery icon next to your start point. Itās in there.- mikehmb

Reno to Tucson... Can't get there from here.
Take 395 to Bishop, charge to 100%, then head to Vegas. Itās about 260 miles to the next charger but you should be able to make it just fine in conserve if you keep a light foot.- mikehmb
