Small Dent Near Logo at Delivery - How to Handle Possible Big Repair?

The Out of Spec detailer review of current Rivian build quality said this crease/blemish/dent-like issue is common on most R1S models and he has detailed quite a few. Casting issue. Go to 33:00...that being said, yours does look a little worse than his example.

Worried about buying a Rivian if the company fails

Good luck....I've had washers done twice, and hubs and shafts replaced ...still got a tock and occasional clunk. Luck of the draw with early ones I guess. Living with it till R2.

    Afraid of Repair Costs

During a mobile service appointment, I asked the technician if Rivian was building the R2 with better repairability, etc, and he said they definitely listened to feedback from all the technicians when designing it and how to simplify repairs.

    Clunking sound from front end.

I’ve had washer treatments twice and hubs and half shafts replaced…occasional clunk still occurs on every drive. Definite design issue.

Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

Less than 1% a day is the best we can probably get with the current tech in these vehicles. Hopefully the upgrades after the factory shutdown will eliminate it entirely.

Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

Hence the factory shutdown to improve the wiring and cutting down on the modules, I imagine. Only time will tell if that solves things.

Rivian is scheduling open service tickets for Powered Tonneau Cover issues by end of March

Just had mine replaced via mobile (SA area tech is awesome!) The cover basically just has beefed up parts and is about 10 lbs heavier. The spring that helps moves the slats was revised and I believe the panels are more rigid to reduce flexing and getting caught up. He still recommended dry...

Who in CO still has a broken auto tonneau?

Nah. Its considered normal for the welded subframe apparently. I'm either trading in pending R1 updates or swapping for the R2 in a few years. Not gonna make a huge stink about it.

Who in CO still has a broken auto tonneau?

I had washers done twice, and just recently had half shafts AND hubs done via mobile (tech in SA is awesome) Quieted it down and feels smoother...I still have a clunk during heavy regen and then getting back on accelerator. That's subframe.

⚡️ Rivian announces: March Tesla Supercharger access & free NACS adapters!

You seem offended. I was merely giving those of you considering a third party adapter that Rivian hasn't signed off on food for thought. You are taking a small risk. That's all. No judgement.
