Long time lurker, posting for the first time.

I have an Oct '21 preorder and I'm in the NYC area (about 20 miles from the Brooklyn SC). Did my routine account check this morning and noticed I was assigned a guide. A few hours later I texted them and they asked to confirm my config which I said yes. Another hour or so later got the "seamless delivery" email. So just waiting for the 8 steps to open up and until a VIN gets assigned. Really excited to take delivery!

Config: R1T Adventure, large pack, 20"AT, Forest Green with Forest Edge, floor mats and had guide add spare wheel and crossbars prior to confirming the config.

Never had a first mile invite and my last delivery estimate was from late Dec 2021 where I was told 2H 2023 (I did have an R1S with the OC interior until around July when I changed it to my current config). Funny enough I just recently watched the vid from MKBHD and was hopeful I would be next pretty soon since he preordered at around the same time and lived slightly further away from the Brooklyn SC compared to me.

I have the same exact order date and EDD of Oct-Dec i received in Dec 21. I didn’t get an update in June ……but has been crickets for me …keeping my fingers crossed ??

Finally got delivery on 8/23. The truck is sick! Beautiful fit and finish.

Only minor issue is noticeable panel gap on charging port, rear of hood near windshield misaligned/too high, scuffs in driver side passenger window trim, and two very minor creases/dents in gloss black portion of front bumper if looking at the right angle and right lighting. Service ticket created but no show stoppers.

Only real complaint is lack of true grab bars on the front pillars. For a truck so extraordinary, it's strange how something so basic could be missed. Getting in and out without squishing the seat bolsters is goofy looking. I hope they offer a retrofit grab bar option in the near future. I'd pay extra for that.

A lot of people from last fall getting their trucks and I hope mine is still on track for Q4 (or sooner). Excited to see more photos of the "Black Coast" in customers' hands, since I switched back to that after losing the FE lottery.

I'm OC as well, May 2021 preorder. I got a guide silently assigned August 20 (and Shop access, but no inventory) and I initiated contact August 29. They reaffirmed the Nov-Dec estimate and said we'd be in touch again as appropriate. The guide offered a first contact phone call if I wanted, and we are scheduled for tomorrow. I'll see if I can emphasize just how committed I am to my configuration. I'll even take the damned black speakers.

Received the "Your configuration is ready to confirm." email last weekend, followed by "A Seamless Process to Purchase Your Rivian" the same day and "Prepare for the Digital Purchasing Process" with guide assignment 1 day later. Nothing since then. Truck configuration is Green on green with 21s. Hoping to get shop access or 8 steps soon!

I’ve got an 8/31/21 order and date of Oct-Nov. live right outside of Dallas. I keep hoping and praying I get something soon. When do they open the Rivian shop up to browse ? Do y’all know if it’s worth changing delivery location to speed up delivery (as in closer to a service center ). Thx !

Pre-ordered in Dec 2021. Confirmed and completed 8 steps today, VIN assigned today (11542). Awaiting contact from guide to schedule delivery. Any ideas how long it takes from VIN assignment to delivery?

I received those emails when I got shop access in late June. It stayed that way until about 6pm tonight. Finally got my 8 steps opened up on my locked configuration! (details in signature) We'll see how the delivery process goes.

Well I’m 15 miles from the Dalllas SC with the same pre-order date and nothing here either.
