In case you weren't aware, the 21" wheels on the R2 have 255/55R21 tires. I did a search online and did not find a single tire option other than the OEM Pirelli Scorpion MS. Those run ~$450 each. You'll have basically zero options unless/until other manufacturers make this size.

Very interesting. Can't wait to see folks add this to their vehicles and see what impact it has on capability as well as also range, comfort, handling. The R2 also has semi-active dampers so wondering what impact that has to the algorithms that control those since the geometry has changed.
Logistically it makes sense to not overlap as the production lines would get more complex. Which likely means LiDAR/RAP will not be available until March 2027 at the earliest.
Did you check the "Upload current lease info" section? i ignored that for a while but when i went in there and selected no lease, then that Action Required went away.
Highly, highly doubt that will happen. Rivian incentivized customers to buy the LE by including freebies knowing that the LiDAR/RAP version is coming soon. If they hadn't added the freebies I think a lot of people would have just waited. Once LiDAR is here, I'd bet LE is going away.

Was thinking about leasing but rates are not great
Will either wait for the LiDAR/RAP version or purchase LE and trade-in for the R3X in a few...
What seems reasonable/logical is that the LE package will be available until the LiDAR version is available. I doubt it will be a year from now and is more likely at the beginning of next year. We know Rivian stated they will deliver 20-25K R2 units in 2026 so that sounds like a pretty good...
Makes sense. They had to incentivize customers by offering the LE package since everyone knows LiDAR is coming soon. It wouldn't make much sense for them to end LEs until the LiDAR version is ready because of that obvious gap. It could mean though that LEs will be available beyond October -...
My hunch is Rivian is saving "red" or maybe another bold color for the R2X/RAD version of the R2. Doubt it will be Red Canyon as the take rate on that for the R1 was low.
During my test drive I did not notice any motor noise from within the cabin. Which is great from an NVH pov, but I kinda miss the motor noise from the R1, kida takes away from the "soul" of the vehicle propulsion. Anyone else wish they had some motor noise in the interior?
Esker Silver is so much better than LA Silver. Honestly that one was a mistake by Rivian. It looked like cheap sheet metal. But then again maybe it wasn't a mistake because most people paid more for the optional colors.
This one has a much deeper tone and shadows, its going to have a much...
