My hunch is Rivian is saving "red" or maybe another bold color for the R2X/RAD version of the R2. Doubt it will be Red Canyon as the take rate on that for the R1 was low.
During my test drive I did not notice any motor noise from within the cabin. Which is great from an NVH pov, but I kinda miss the motor noise from the R1, kida takes away from the "soul" of the vehicle propulsion. Anyone else wish they had some motor noise in the interior?
Esker Silver is so much better than LA Silver. Honestly that one was a mistake by Rivian. It looked like cheap sheet metal. But then again maybe it wasn't a mistake because most people paid more for the optional colors.
This one has a much deeper tone and shadows, its going to have a much...
Same reasoning for me. I've done multiple road trips in my R1T spanning more than 2500 miles per trip. It was painful charging. Pre access to Superchargers, it was an absolute nightmare. Chargers not working, being slow, waiting in line and the charge curve - yikes. I almost never was able to...
I know its early in deliveries but for those who have taken delivery of their R2, please share what the peak charge rate and charge curve looks like at a DCFC.
R2 lease doesn't make sense right now. Rivian launched with it, which is surprising, but they have no incentive to make killer lease deals right now because demand is high and supply is low.
I'm planning to buy the R2 then in 2-3 years trade in for either the R3X or the Scout Traveler.
Scout...
When the R2/R3/R3X was revealed, RJ said the R3 would start around $10k cheaper than the R2. Since the R2 has pretty much remained exactly priced as they said 2 years ago, I'd guess the R3 pricing will be accurate and will start around $35k. If we scale up the R3 Premium and Performance similar...
R1T with Ocean Coast - similar to Coastal Cloud. After almost 3 years its held up beautifully. No permanent stains. Some expected wrinkles but bot cracks. I do take care of it. Clean it and treat it about once every 2 months.
We don't exactly what the difference is between the R1 and R2 but from...
Probably a combination of prioritizing R2 production and they are discontinuing several colors including LA Silver and El Cap Granite and adding new colors so they probably dont want to produce any new vehicles right now.
Pretty sure its 4 vents based on the animation while youre adjusting it. Its a bit different than the R1 where you can control all all 4 individually. In the R2 both vents driver/passenger are "locked" together. So if you don't want it pointed directly at you, it'll move it outwards and vice versa.
You have about as much chance as anyone. Its clear now Rivian is selecting reservations not just based on date but location and some other factors they are not sharing.
Hmmm. I'm beginning to think there was some change done from pre-production to production. Which happens to all vehicles across various materials, designs, and features but, it'll be a huge miss if they went cheap on the halo wheels. Lots of people are commenting on SM how they are surprised and...
Not great timing. Summer heat is coming (already here in some places) and they launch without pet mode?
How's the audio? I test drove an R2 yesterday and the sound was honestly kinda horrible. To be fair, the test vehicle had only 200 miles so its probably not broken in. I spent 10 min of my 30...
