It was a nice roadtrip. The test drive was scheduled for 11AM on a Sunday morning. Left early, minimal traffic and stopped and had breakfast. If the Duncan demo drives don’t increase availability, I will probably do it again.

What choice did I have? The pop up demo center in Duncan S.C. wasn’t available yet and their availability is still limited.

Good info as that is here in town. Thanks Edit: I had Sunstoppers in Cornelius do the stealth wrap on my ‘22 R1T and felt they/he did a great job. I just googled i1Customs and it lists “Sunstoppers” in the name. I wonder if it is the same guy.

Appreciate you sharing your thoughts and the effort to edit and post a video. Assuming that you have a company that does wraps are you going to get an R2 as company vehicle?

If I may ask, did you sell private party or to CarMax or equivalent? I am the same situation, waiting to trade my R1T in for the R2.

I checked the Duncan site through the Rivian app a few times today with no luck. I just checked again and it shows available times on July 20th. Doesn’t help me but it might others.

Maybe they are giving demo rides in the delivery R2s before the owners shows up and none the wiser. Could explain the limited demo time slots.

I test drove an R2 Sunday at the Knightdale (Raleigh) SC and listened to FM radio in the R2. Edit: maybe that was thru an app via Connect+. I didn’t notice.

Oh no- The truck came with 21s because I needed take delivery before tax benefit expired at the end of ‘22. I wore those out and then made the switch to the 20s. I had almost 25k miles on each set. Those Pirelli ATs sucked ass.

My ‘22 R1T (VIN -14,xxx) just crossed 50k miles. It is a wonderful machine. I just changed out my Pirelli ATs for Michelin Defenders AS tires. It is like a new truck. What a fantastic upgrade.
