I’ve been on the fence. I have it narrowed down between the R1S and the 2022 Volvo XC90 Recharge. I’m not in a hurry...late 2021 or into 2022 is good.
The original timeline was end of 2020 for R1T and R1S to start 3 months later. Now things have been pushed back due to the COVID-19, so I am factoring in 2 to 3 months of delay.I'm wondering, for those just placing deposits now on the R1S, when they can expect delivery? Perhaps mid to late 2022?
My understanding was that the original goal was for the first R1Ts to go out in like December, with the majority being delivered in Q1 of 2020. The R1S was then supposed to follow in like March/April. So with the COVID delay, I’m sorta just adding 2 months to the delivery times.I would hope sooner than June of 2021 since the original plan was to deliver R1T's late 2020. I do understand the Rivian plant was shut down between 60 to 90 days, but it should not push the production out six months.
