Rivian License Plate Frame

Figured I'd share a license plate frame I found on eBay. The quality was surprisingly good. It's metal and the lettering looks pretty high quality for the price ($15 with shipping). I also bought a silicone frame to use as a backing to prevent any potential scratching. I may trim it slightly once my official plate arrives. I now have to get black and yellow lettering plate from CA DMV to "complete" the look. Pics and links below:

There's no question it's a Rivian! That frame does look good and I like those silicone frames. Also, the CA black and yellow "vintage" plates are really cool.

Photos are hard to judge, but it looks a little too yellow to me. How well does it match IRL?

It looks pretty good, maybe slightly more yellow. Fortunately, the only yellow on the rear hatch is the yellow line between R1 and S. I'll have to take another pic to compare, but I done expect anyone to come up with a color spectrophotometer to analyze!!

Yes, when they first came out. The corners of a couple letters lifted, and I decided to peel them all off

I have the Rivian frame from the Shop
.. but your like for the backing g plate is perfect! I was searching for something to go behind the plate.. no way was I going to just mount it up with nothing between the paint and the plate.

The best prevention for this is to go buy some cheap 3M PPF on Amazon, 1.5” thick roll, and apply across the letters.

I actually did this too. However, because the frame is matte, the gloss band over the lettering didn't look great.
