Not sure how else to describe it? I'll be in pole position at a light and tap sport mode and there's an audible creaking noise as the front end lowers? I'll see if I can get a video sometime
I think I have heard something like that. But it is very faint, and usually I am listening to music which is louder than the settling sound. The air pump makes noise also when the suspension is raising or leveling.

Did your SC say that they would perform the alignment afterwards?
Looks like they had night shift work on mine. Picking up in a bit. Asked about whether realignment is necessary and they said no.

Update: In the end SC did nothing but "an inspection". And said the amount of drop overnight is within parameters and observed no leaks with any of the lines while on the left. They said, usually when things are wrong, it's leaning on one side. I have plenty of warranty left still, just have to keep an eye on it. :\

I just got my R1S back and this is EXACTLY the same BS response I received. Within spec, the won’t do anything about it even though I reported that I occasionally get a pop up error message to wait for the vehicle to raise before driving because it has dropped so much.

Yah... that CAPEX induced belt-tightening. I specifically asked them what would be considered excessive. And the response was about uneven side-to-side lean. TBH, I'm more annoyed by the fact they allowed the request and service process to get this far, only to say: "no, sorry, it's not a problem yet"... given all of the detailed info that was given to them up-front, how long since I observed the behavior and that it wasn't doing it prior to end of last year. Waste of everyone's time.

Chalk it up for another data point on why XCARE is a must.

I had my truck in the Eastvale SC yesterday for a drooping front suspension and have been told that even though there is a small leak it’s within spec. Some bs about losing 100% over a week is still within spec. I had done the tape test beforehand and sent the photos with the service request but they just did some leak check and didn’t repeat the tape test.

I’ll see what they say this morning before picking it up but one concern I have is the extra use of the compressor having to refill the suspension after a day.

in good news I did get a loaner even though the appointment was less than 48hrs and they performed a recall service on the mobile charger that I had no idea existed.

I’m hoping someone has a class action lawsuit over this. Not excited to pay $5800 to replace my front dampers after only 62000 miles. Problem was present prior to warranty expiration. SC did not care.

I'll add a data point that I complained about this back in December of 2023 where I noted a, what I thought was a large, front end drop over about a week. Was told that it was within spec. I wasn't too happy about it but I can't make them do warranty repairs I guess.

It did get progressively worse and I was seeing the same sag in the front after only around 3 days. I just got a recall notice for something else and decided I'd try again for the same complaint on April 18 this year (2026). This time I also noted that it sagged more on the passenger side. Apparently it was just out of spec on the passenger side only and got the updated Jounce kit for both sides.

I got it back home and after probably two weeks I can't even see a sag, although via tape measure it did go down about 3/8". Which is on par with the rear suspension.

Just had mine looked at. I’m at 62000 miles and jounce lines and front dampers need to be replaced. They will not cover under warranty. $5800 estimate. Very disappointed. I had brought it in 2 years ago complaining about suspension noise. They said it was due to using beefy jounces and was normal. They are unwilling to even cover those. Considering whether to drive as is or just trade it in. It does raise when I get in. Just looks lower after parked.
My R1T with 39,000 miles has been in the shop since early this morning. It seems so unfair the way you were hassled. I sure didn't see this coming, and I feel very lucky to have it covered under warranty.

Yesterday morning, when the truck was asleep, I first noticed my left front suspension sagging.
I called the Rivian Service operator to report it as a safety issue. They told me that they would find someone to contact me promptly. And they did.

A Rivian service rep called me within an hour and wanted to expedite the appointment time. He suggested calling a tow truck, but I told him I wanted to drive my truck. I told him that the truck seemed to level itself long enough after waking up, that I felt safe driving it to the Portland SC, if he would agree. He did, so, I drove and dropped it off this morning.

My Rivian Service Advisor estimated that they would need the truck for about a week, and promised to give me progress reports through the Rivian phone app. A service technician later followed up with a message that they had diagnosed the problem. They were in the process of replacing the jounce lines and both front dampers.

Thankfully, this has turned out to be the quickest Rivian appointment for service that I've ever gotten.

So you’ve only scheduled appointment? Don’t celebrate just yet. If you read other posts… they could have you go through the motions only to tell you it’s within normal parameters and do nothing. In their eyes, current position is it’s normal for suspension to drop 2-3” after a few days of inactivity, if there are no signs of hydraulic leaks, even if it’s only the front end. I suspect they would take action only if it happens same day or overnight for normal to lowest, or vehicle is listing to one side/corner.

The Portland SC service advisor just sent me this update: "The technician has identified parts needed for service. We have ordered these and we are estimating part arrival for 5/22. I will reach out again tomorrow with another update. Thank you."

It looks like they're taking positive steps to fix the truck. I'll keep everyone in the loop as this suspension repair progresses, and we'll see what happens next.

Well just got Truckdor back and suspension operating as normal and no leaks. No repairs. I guess we'll see. Got about 18 months and 13k miles to see if that changes

Mine was dropping a few weeks ago. When I created my ticket I added pictures with a tape measure of height when I parked and 12 hours later. Really helped them getting mine fixed.

Agreed. Upload pictures in your service ticket. My '22LE R1T was sagging intermittently and I was worried it would be "within spec" when at the service center. The Caledonia (Grand Rapids, MI) service center was (and always has been) terrific. They set up my appointment so they'd be "pretty sure" I've have a loaner and replaced the dampers while also addressing the "chirpy" original jounce lines. Along with those items, a brand new roll-up tonneau cover (3rd time's a charm) and some toe-link bolts it took them 2-½ days with regular updates. I feel lucky compared to others, and hope this continues after the R2 launch.
