Send a video of the noise and we can tell you if it's normal or not.

The suspension is clunking sounding imo and I think it’s normal. That being said I had clicking noises and it turned out to be camber bots that weren’t torqued to spec,. Tightened and it went away.

Do you mainly hear it under 25mph and on uneven pavement/small potholes?
Had the same and was my biggest disappointment in the truck. About a 2000 miles ago it slowly disappeared and now it's quite. The only thing that changed was the weather got warmer but I don't think that's the reason. I don't have a solution.

Yes, not so noticeable on the highway, I’m thinking of lowering the tire pressures a little.

Don't think that will help and will only reduce efficiency.
Someone on the forum posted a video of the halfshaft and some play where it connects to drive unit. Not 100% sure this is where the noise is coming from but I think it makes the most sense.

The Turo rental R1T and my R1T both make some suspension noises. I believe them to be mostly normal and I believe they are coming from two places.

1) the higher pitched noise that has a slight squeakiness to it....sounds like a rubber squeak sound. I believe this is the upper control arm.

2) the deeper clunky type sound over bumps I believe is the CV Axle.

Additional noise insulation may reduce the UCA and axle noise. I suspect the same noises are present on the passenger side but are not audible to the driver. The front CV axle on any vehicle has to have some movement in order to accommodate turning wheels.

We hear every little thing on an EV because there is no motor or belt driven accessories to drown out or minimize those.

Mine thumps on larger impacts bumps. Squeaks on bumps in general. I wish they weren't present, but I am getting used to them. I lower windows to make wind noise when weather good and crank music when not

Do you find the noise changes at all with ride height? I hear it more on low ride height. I ride in standard most of the time now bc a lot of the back roads are 40/50/55 speed limits. Auto ride height was putting me in low a lot of the time. Truck more comfortable in standard.

I do think it is better in standard. Sport stiff on bumpy roads sounds like something is going to break.

I have had this issue for 6 months. I think I FINALLY have it fixed (for now).

They replaced the front subframe on a previous visit which got rid of all "creaking" at low speed, but not THE CLUNK.

On the latest visit they found that one of my axle boots was torn and was probably under lubricated leading to failure so they fixed that. They also found that one of my brake rotors was damaged and replaced that.

They also completed FSAM-407 which is to add the washers to the front half shafts and re-lubricate.

I just picked up my truck on Thursday from El Segundo and I have NO CLUNK. Hoping it doesn't come back, but the truck is not the quietest it's ever been. I have driven it in all low and medium and high suspension (not highest or lowest yet) and the noise is gone.

I'm including the items from the work order with the service FSA bulletin numbers so you can inquire about them.

I took nine in Monday for this reason. Evidently it's a known issue. They had it finished in 90 minutes. However, now I have a loud buzzing sound when I'm moving. High speed, low speed, throttle, coasting, the nose is there. Almost like baseball cards in the spokes of a bicycle. Maybe this is his how it was supposed to sound all the time. Even with my poor hearing it's pretty annoying

Updating in case anyone is searching for the "clunk" and haven't had it fixed yet.

I took my truck in Friday for the recent recall. My clunk had returned over the last year so I asked them to check it out again. Took a test drive with the technician and he immediately said "it's the dampers".

The following parts were replaced/retrofit under warranty:

Dampers, Front, LH/RH (Retrofit)-
Halfshaft, Front, LH (Remove and Replace)-
Halfshaft, Front, RH (Remove and Replace)-
Replace LH and RH front hydraulic suspension jounce lines

I am clunk free again (for now).
