When my windows are rolled up, when I shut my final door closed, it often doesn't close all the way, being restricted by air pressure inside the vehicle. Seems there's not enough air venting. When a window is open, the doors close very easily, when all windows are closed, I have to give the final door an extra hard shove to close it all the way.

Anyone else see this?

How long have you had the vehicle. It does get better over time. But you do kind of always need to get pretty close to slamming each time.

I see the same on mine. The kids especially have to open and reclose the door about half the time.

Yep. This has been an observation since people first started getting their R1Ts and it applies to the S as well. It’s not just your truck. You’ll eventually acclimate, but new passengers will often have to close the door twice.

I haven't had to slam mine, just close firmly. My weather stripping looked well installed. I don't think I have too much road noise. So I hope this problem is just variation in build quality and not a design problem.

Same problem. Service said they’re working on an update to crack the window when it opens, so when closed it has a pressure relief. Like a Tesla or Range Rover.

That was my exact suggestion, I have started opening my window a bit if I have a guest getting in that doesn’t know my truck.

My Jeep is kind of like that, I just keep my door open until everyone else is in and they close their doors then I close mine.

And I thought my 83 year old Dad was just getting weak. Same guy that still climbs into an 18 ft ladder stand every year. Now that I know this, it's a pretty easy fix. I'll just wait to close my door last when I have any passengers in the truck.

My house is an airtight super insulated net zero energy home. I have this very same problem with my entry doors. My kids are constantly leaving doors open because they can't close them easily.

I guess with Rivians that's the price we pay for 3'+ of water fording.

Should be an easy fix. My 2002 Mini Cooper did that so I think Rivian could figure it out.
