Because when tailgate is closed there is no way to open that area even if an emergency button were installed. By law if a human can fit then an exit must be had from inside the area. The installed dividers meet this requirement.

Best thing to do is to do a reset on your camp speaker. I can’t remember the buttons and I am too lazy to look it up for you. But look up in the user manual. For some reason at some random point decides to turns on in its port and wants to connect. The reset fixes it.
