  1. All-New 4Runner (2025) First Official Teaser Look

Convince her to get an R2 instead?
  2. Rivian temporarily pausing R1 configurator due to production line shutdown

Rivian's expenditures aren't only building vehicles. They are trying to expand to build the R2 line (in Georgia and now Illinois) and that costs billions of dollars. That is reflected in how much cash they are burning. So they aren't burning 1.8 billion per year (or more) on building vehicles.
  3. I want an R12S or maybe an R1S2?

What old 4Runner did you have. The R2 seems like a perfect replacement for a 3rd gen 4Runner. I miss mine.
  4. A2Z NACS To CCS1 Adapter Review

You don't know that. Maybe Tesla decided that they were the ones that wanted to provide the adapter. Or that was part of the agreement.
  5. A2Z NACS To CCS1 Adapter Review

Pretty sure they aren't the ones making the adapters, it's Tesla.
  6. A2Z NACS To CCS1 Adapter Review

Tesla certainly had the opportunity to start producing these even soon since they had been for the magic docks. And since they knew they were going to make deals with other auto makes to use the supercharger network. But I think Tesla wants to slow the rollout of CCS cars using their charging...
  7. Four Electric Pickup Trucks Drove Coast-To-Coast. Here's How They Stack Up

I can see a 4 hour trip to a lake house being a difference but that's a pretty specific case. In most road trips it's not going to make much of a difference to be able to go 300 miles or 400 or even 500 on a single charge. People have to stop at some point.
  8. Are all Tesla superchargers now available to Rivian or only specific ones?

Tesla has a map, Rivian has their app and nav that has which ones are available.
  9. Four Electric Pickup Trucks Drove Coast-To-Coast. Here's How They Stack Up

For towing I can see it being a big difference. I don't think it is for normal road tripping.
  10. MidnightRivian's R1S Tesla Charger test session hitting speeds @ 217 kW using A2Z adapter / plug and charge feature

As long as all EVs that have access to superchargers can charge using 1 parking space then that works too.
  11. MidnightRivian's R1S Tesla Charger test session hitting speeds @ 217 kW using A2Z adapter / plug and charge feature

I didn’t blame Tesla when the superchargers were for Tesla only. Now it is on Tesla to provide longer cables for other cars.
  12. MidnightRivian's R1S Tesla Charger test session hitting speeds @ 217 kW using A2Z adapter / plug and charge feature

I did a few posts up :). I agree that it seems like Rivian might have opened up the charging curve some? Or maybe the battery was cool enough to allow for that charging rate.
  13. What R2 Colors are you all excited to see?

    cement
  14. would you buy R1T again as of 3/25/2024?

I probably would't buy an R1T again but not for reasons most people would think. My R1T is the best vehicle I have ever owned. I just think the R2 would fit me better. I really miss my 3rd gen 4runner and the R2 is almost exactly that and it has a rear window that rolls down! So I would have...
  15. Rivian temporarily pausing R1 configurator due to production line shutdown

You weren't asking me, but my reasons are max pack disappointment and lack of a 240V inverter. Also I did not want an early vehicle. So I never planned to buy quickly. I may just not buy at all with the 120V inverter. A "truck" with a 135kWh batter and no way to use it to back up a house is...
  16. Rivian temporarily pausing R1 configurator due to production line shutdown

I doubt you’ll be able to get a refreshed Rivian with the voucher. This is why they are issuing the vouchers, to tell people buy now or lose your preorder price hike.
