I meanā¦not really? Itās not shocking that a smaller and lighter vehicle is faster in its top spec trim, and we know that an R1 refresh is coming. The way RJ phrased the battery discussion it seems like the R1 may eventually use the same batteries.- bd5400

Issue with Snow Mode turning off automatically
It should only be switching out of snow mode once per day. It should not be switching mid-day when getting in and out.- bd5400

I assume not auto-hiding on maps is intentional because it doesnāt obscure any information on the maps screen like it does on other screens. So not necessarily something they feel they need to āfixā. -
ATT not working on my cell but LTE service is working on RIVN
Same experience. Woke up to no AT&T service due to the nationwide outage but had LTE in the car for my commute. I wonder if there is a roaming agreement for the vehicles that allow them to operate on other networks when out of range of AT&T. -

@Citrinite they filed another attempt at the zoning change. Now, the goal is to have the zoning changed specifically for EV delivery and servicing, meaning if Rivian moves out the zoning wouldnāt allow for ICE servicing. That was the hang up last time, as the zoning change would have allowed... -

Weird slow speed behaviour - reverses instead of hold in snow mode
I had this same experience earlier this week leaving work. I was easing down the ramp in the parking garage, in snow mode, and the truck started backing up instead of holding. Itās only ever done it that once though.- bd5400

OTA 2023.50.01 Software is Out! (w/ departure & preconditioning scheduling)!
Based on my one experience this morning, there are no notifications, but it does turn off right at the departure time. I got to my car one minute after departure and the heat was not on/active, but the cabin, steering wheel, and seat were all warm. -

Set my departure schedule which will be nice because Iām getting sub-zero temps next week. Though I wonder what happens if I donāt ādepartā around my scheduled time. Does it keep it warmed for a grace period? Indefinitely? Does everything shut off right at the set departure time? -

Yes, this is pretty common for me in winter. Efficiency is pretty bad for the first part of the drive but improves over longer distances. This might improve in the next update. At this time, the truck will pre-heat from the battery, not the wall connection even when plugged in. That kills...
