Should I be worried that I may have put some thread marks in my dodge wheels last winter...? Its possible I'm just not remembering that damage from my purchase but looks fairly new and mine were pretty beat up inside so the hub rings don't fit them snugly.

Where is this? On the inside of the bolt hole?

How strange, I've never noticed on mine, which I've switched on and off a few times. I'll take a look at my AS set in the garage tomorrow, but I suspect this was there before you mounted.

You didn't have yours sandblasted or powdercoated, right? That's one pro to doing that, a lot of surface damage got smoothed and sealed.

No, I was going for the cheapest of cheap temporary setup. (my set was pretty clean on the outside too)
I like my MSW wheels so I'm tempted to get another set of those and swap out to reduce poke and increase range/cleanliness. These fling a whole lot of slush out of the wheel well when I turn.

Ram's have been a happy solution while the aftermarket companies caught up to the fitment so I'm glad you were able to spearhead this option.

I assume the threading was old damage I never noticed since I gave them a very good once over for cracks and cleaned them up but surprised I never noticed.
I also antiseize the heck out of all the wheels I change after having a couple bad roadside spare situations where I couldn't break them free many years ago. So between that and the loose hub ring I was worried there was maybe too much slop to handle the torque. But hasn't been loose when torqued checked so not stressing much after 4k miles without a wheel falling off.

If you decide to sell, post them on the boards! There are some happy users in the area.

Will definitely do that.
Though I still have a set of winter tires in storage for an M235i BWM that was totaled in summer 2019 so for those of you in the Michigan area: don't hold your breath

However if you have a 235i or similar car please reach out, also have an old but brand new set of Nokian summer tires never unwrapped! I miss that car... good times were had.

I’m looking at these RAM wheels for a winter set-up. Upon searching the Nokian R5, it seems there are multiple versions. Nokian Hakka R5 SUV and Nokian Hakka R5 EV are both compatible. Does anyone know what the difference might be between them other then the EV version having some foam in them?

R5 and R5 EV don't come in compatible sizes. Where are you looking that you see compatibility? Only the R5 SUV comes in the right size, and load index to boot!

I went down a rabbit hole and swore I saw the R5 EV in the proper size, but after reading your comment and looking again, you are correct. Thanks for pulling me out of that rabbit hole.

We have a m235 convertible we really enjoy as our fun car. As an old autocrosser/track guy...you can never have too many sets of wheels & tires! :CWL: I would be interested in taking those off your hands if I wasn't way down here in Alabama.

How'd you know I got the Nokians to replace the MPS3 chunks I tore out while autocrossing? ;)

I have an M2C now but its honestly unnecessary compared to the m235 which was a lovely balance of power for roads in the northeast.

Completed my 2363 winter setup yesterday:

Wheels: $500 (craigslist, freshly powder coated by previous Rivian owner)
TPMS: $157 (RDE232V26 off eBay)
Center cap: $25
Hub centric rings: $15
Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 275/60R20: $1162
Mount/Balance: $120
TOTAL: $1979

No issues so far, TPMS sensors automatically synced to vehicle within 1hr. Speedo is off by 3-4mph at highway speeds because my summers are 275/65R20 Nokians, but I'm not going to pay Rivian to reprogram twice per year. I can finally stop with regen without sliding all over the place!

😆

LOVE the M2! A friend had a very well prepped M2 for autocross that I had the opportunity to co-drive in a few events. It was a beast and one of my all-time favorite autocross cars.

I’ve posted a few times in this thread, but here’s my setup for this week since no one bought my setup. Have ice in the forecast this week
