Where do you find this info? I can't seem to find anywhere. Not this particular one, but in general.

Under "Manufacturer Communications" for this one. The entry is actually called "Components: FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL"
Ah! Thanks much! I was looking right past it with that description.

I wonder how to know if mine would be affected? Certainly in that range of dates, but never had an update problem to my knowledge.

I suspect if you are actually getting regular updates that your BMS has been updated too. There's probably some versioning safety that prevents future updates from happening if some component gets too out of date. It'd be nice if Rivian didn't hide the RIDE menu behind a longer number because that would at least show when there's a mismatch.

if you look at the 2023.6 OTA thread, you'll see a few people failing to update (me included). We are currently stuck on 2023.2. I haven't contacted Rivian yet to get them to update the firmware.

You should probably be on 2023.10 by now.

Ah, then this does not apply to me. I didn't opt for the diesel version.
You don't know what you're missing brother.. you can opt for the Diesel/Electric Hybrid version and coal-roll yourself if you get angry at you for driving an EV ?

Diesel cabin heaters are definitely a thing but they aren't super common outside of siberia.

I think this is a first (and not in a good sense):

Step 3: REMOVE REAR SUBFRAME to do a firmware update !?! o_O

I'm obviously guessing - Sounds like the BMS lost the ability to communicate on one of the networks and they have to connect to the board manually, or replace the board?

I am thinking they just remove the panel that sometimes people have had fall off and not remove the whole subframe?

That would make more sense. I was reading it as panel and rear subframe. You are suggesting it means the “rear subframe panel”.

“Customer Satisfaction Campaign’” is a really weird euphemism for “recall.”
