While graphics may be interpreted in various ways, the intent of this graphic is to show the difference between the original expectation set by Rivian and the revised expectation, and to suggest that Rivian's action is akin to "bait & switch."

And that's the wrong hot take. Messaging has always been about starting base price. Not what they would start selling at, at time of production launch. If you thought the messaging meant what the cars would start selling at this spring, that's your misinterpretation. It's on you.

Not current vehicles. R2 has updated charging hardware that can export AC. R1 doesn't, only DC.

Ah Fisker. I remember those days. I loved the look of that car. Still so pissed Henrik and his wife screwed everything up. They could've had an R2-like moment too if they really were smart. It turns out Henrik can only design well. I would've kept my Mariana Blue if I could.

I'm so bummed the blue-Grey-white interior of the concept car didn't make it as an option. I'm tired of all-black and while the mostly light Grey interior is gorgeous, it'll be harder to keep clean.

My 2 penny’s on the $45k pricing. When it was announced, the “oh I can get a Rivian for 45k” never need entered my mind. I saw the 45k and thought “ok, plus, say 15k in options (drivetrain, color etc) gets me to 60k, damn, that is a good price” And at about $60k for an EV as capable as this, it’s a bargain in my eyes.

And after waiting 2 years for this moment, what’s another few months.
