Not current vehicles. R2 has updated charging hardware that can export AC. R1 doesn't, only DC.

Depends on option pricing. 20" AT on R1S is $3700 and paint colors range from $2k-$3000.

It is possible...$58k + $1.5 + $3.7k + $3k = $66.2k (+ fees/taxes)

If option pricing lines up with R1S, you could go over $70k OTD in high sales tax states. It helps $2500 Autonomy+ is included on LE.

It very well might be that a high optioned Performance after LE is over could be $70k before fees/taxes. Autonomy+ and tow package will be at least another $3k.

Paint will be $2000-$2499 I think at most.

I would tend to agree, at least on the paint options and interior, as there is just less surface to cover. The wheels and tires option might be similar to an R1 though.

Yes I could see paint and interior being less. Interior options on R1 are expensive.

Wheels could be the same. There is no difference really.

All Terrain 20" if customers wants to off-road.

Smallest factory size announced so far is 19" (on R2 Standard). If you go off-road, for max traction, you want as much sidewall to width ratio as you can get. Because aired-down, that means larger and longer contact patch. And it looks like the more off-pavement oriented tire option is the BFG Trail Terrain T/A (255/60R20)—available on Performance trim, 307 mi range instead of 330—which isn't a true AT. It's an all-weather (3PMSF rated). Based on images shown, it's paired with the 20" wheel. Unknown is if all R2 trims have the same brakes and if the 19" would fit on higher trims—so customers could run that size and put real ATs on them instead of the BFG AS/AT hybrid.

Just now received email notification regarding the R2 site being live and other updates. The last statement is a bit confusing, appears to me like it won't be the delivery, but when we can place the order, or maybe our 7th March order is not picked for late spring delivery/first batch?

Any other R1 owners out there who are suddenly finding themselves thinking, “Do I really need that third row? I mean, we rarely use it. And this R2 looks even sweeter than my R1.”

Or is that just me? But I don’t have deep pockets so I’m reminding myself that I will probably want an R3 even more….

My wife was complaining about my son kicking her seat, so I moved his seat to the third row. Problem solved.

I wouldn't read too much into it. The designer's job is to dream and render ideas in best "light"—i.e. whatever looks/feels cooler. It's engineers and bean counters who either play along or reign them back.

Technically, parts of June are still in the Spring.
