Not true. I have a delivery date of 7/17 for my first R2 reservation. And my second reservation has an estimate of 2-4 weeks to place my order. Seems a bit unfair to everyone else.
I thought the opposite.
If they're getting 2.55 mi/kWh at 78mph, that translates to 224 miles going from 100% to 0% at 78mph on 87.9 kWh. On AT tires that's only a 27% hit on range compared to its EPA rating. Not bad at all if you ask me. Which you didn't.
I have a 2022 Mach e and have an R2 on the way. I can speak to the 1PD based on my demo drive of the R2. It has 3 levels of regen that you can choose from. If you don’t like 1PD, you will hate the highest setting. It grabs immediately and slows the vehicle quickly, much much quicker than the...
I am going to be one of these test gremlins. Expecting delivery within a few weeks. Threads like this one make me nervous, but I also have confidence that Rivian will rectify any initial quality concerns.
I didn't go very far back, but I only saw one other video of that boulder. And I got a big laugh out of watching the Tesla Model Y hit the boulder and have a very different outcome to the R1S (AI generated or not).
PPF will not protect against door dings. At least, the dents that could result from a car door hitting your door. It will protect against scratches not dents.
I am doing ceramic on every surface for general protection. It will help everything clean up easier. I think it’s worth it, but...
In my opinion, yes it's worth it, especially if you do a lot of highway driving / road trips. My Mach e has a handful of paint chips on the front because I did not do PPF on that vehicle. The PPF should last 7-10 years if properly taken care of.
The full front PPF ("clear bra") will run you...
I agree. I've used it for several trips between 280 to 600 miles and it has been really good about the SOC at each stop and the overall estimated time of the trips.
Ok I gotcha. That seems reasonable. I've done a few test route plans in ABRP for the R2, and based on those theoretical plans, it seems ABRP is estimating around 265-270 miles of range at highway speeds. And I have it set for speeds of 112% of the posted speed limit  so 78mph in 70mph...
Oh snap, I didn’t even notice you were in Vegas when I first responded. Haha
A 21% Imperial IPA, wow! That’s even higher than the Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA. If I had more than one at that ABV, I would certainly need to Uber home. :CWL:
I used to homebrew but it’s been a few years. I miss it.
Apologies if this was mentioned previously, but where does the 260 come from? Is this in reference to the dual standard range?
For the R2... 330*0.7*0.8 = 185 miles. This equals approximately 56% (185/330) of the stated EPA range.
Personally, I have never driven through weather cold enough to...
I believe it is officially confirmed that the garage door opener feature is coming in a software update. It just isn't available at launch. I could be wrong, but I thought I saw something official from Rivian at one point.
I'm getting it done right away. You could wait, but if you get any scratches, chips, etc., then it could cost more to do some paint correction before they can apply the PPF.
