Realistically, how are they as a step? I really hate the way the larger step/ sliders look on an R1S, but do like how these tuck in. If they work as a step, that would seal the deal for me.

They definitely give a foot booster to get into the truck--my teenager confirmed. For a larger foot (like my Size 15), it's too small to really give a place to step. My guess is that people with Size 11, or smaller, will appreciate and use the sliders as a step.

The mounting holes are slotted, so you can move the sliders in/out somewhere around an inch. I can't speak for where it was at on my truck from the photos I shared earlier.


The funny part about this is my truck has been in Adam's shop almost this whole time and just got the completed lighted set mounted this week. I didn't even know they were shipping production yet.

Still figuring out wiring the lights in on the Night Sliders, this is really the only shot I got from when we did the photoshoot with the prototype some time back:

I just ordered these. How long did it take you guys to receive them? I understand it's "6-8" weeks but hope it may come s00ner. I don't like the aesthetics of the full rock slider steps but am hoping this will be enough of a ledge to help the 10 year old dog get in and out.

From order until delivery, it took seven weeks. With that said, I placed my order on April 18th--before this design was in production.

Anyone able to say if a ski boot would fit on them? I'm torn between this version and the wider originals. There are no measurements on the site that I can find.

Received mine Sept 19th, the day after I got rear ended and totaled... Just got a new R1t and looking forward to installing in the next week.

I'm installing now and as a heads up to potential buyers, (as they say on the web site) these are truly a minimalist step! Great product, but I wouldn't buy them expecting to use them with a door closed.

Photos are with them pushed as far outward as they can. I added grip tape (Vicious Black Extra Coarse Heavy Duty Tape). 2" x 15'
