Installed mine yesterday solo. Some tips from my install experience
1) Same issue as others have described with some shipping damage. The passenger side package had the rock slider come partially through the box. Luckily no significant damage seen.
2) I did the install solo. Recommend getting a buddy to help as I think it would have made this process MUCH easier. The rock sliders are heavy and holding them up while placing bolts was challenging.
3) Make sure you clean out the bolt spaces. I cleaned with a pipe cleaner and hten used PB blaster in each.
4) I started with the passenger side and did not use power tools. Use power tools. I switched over and it made life so much easier. Battery powered impact tool made life so much easier.
5) Be careful not to strip the T55 bolts. I partially did this with the first bolt. Don't get a cheap T55 bit, I think this was my problem. Initially bought mine on amazon, switched out to a bit I bought at lowes and was luckily able to salvage the bolt and remove it.
6) A dremel works really well for cutting out the plastic and makes quick work of it.
I think one of the things that would make life a lot easier is a template for the cut outs. I measured everything out and unfortunately after putting back on the plastic covers had to add a 1/2" of clearance to 3 out of the 5 cut outs with a dremel from under the car. Would have been even more challenging if I were to need to use a utility knife.
Overall, the build quality is excellent and really happy with the product itself.
