Yeah I have my fingers crossed for that plaid/sapphire spec one myself.I am still surprised by the 3.5 second time given it is closer in power and torque to the base enduro drive version at 4.5 compared to the quad at 3.1 seconds. I would expect 4 seconds but that is still very good.
I wonder if they have priced it so close to the Bosch quad motor that they may stop the Bosch quad in the mid term and go with an Enduro quad with >1000hp and price that higher? I thought they may do a Plaid/Sapphire type spec with special wheels, unique color and quad Enduro for $120k upwards.
Reading the Rivian Story article the base duo drive is 535hp and 610lbft. They had said 600/600 so a little lower than expected.Yeah I have my fingers crossed for that plaid/sapphire spec one myself.
Me, too.Yeah I have my fingers crossed for that plaid/sapphire spec one myself.
Good question. I am an August / September delivery and I have no update on my dual max setup.Maybe i’ve missed it through all the different press releases or random information drops but when does the Dual Motor Max Pack actually ship to customers?
It's widely speculated that the Dual+Max is only going to be a 165 kWh pack, where the Quad+Max was billed as a 180 kWh pack. Folks mainly believe this because there was only room inside the frame for another 2x 15 kWh modules over the 135 kWh Large pack. This is a big reason I said screw it and got a Quad+Large rather than waiting for Dual+Max...it just wasn't enough extra capacity to matter much.Wasn't the Quad Max Pack rated for 400+ miles?
You get no range benefit with the performance dual?
