I love my Gen 1 R1T - 573rd off the production line, BUT I'm starting to have buyers remorse as our truck is currently in El Segundo SC for the 3rd time this past year and my comprehensive warranty coverage is only valid for the remainder of this year, 2026. This time the air suspension in the front got stuck in its lowest position, resting on the bumper stops, rendering the truck inoperable and unsafe to drive. We had to call roadside and have it towed on a flatbed to the SC. The fail started immediately after exiting service mode. The truck had been sitting idle in our driveway for several days. I had put it into service mode and pulled up the RIDE menu to check the 12v battery health. 12v looked good. We have only 17k miles on the truck. Upon exiting service mode, the front end lowered all the way down and could not lift itself back up again. We tried going a short distance, as recommended after the truck has been placed in 'kneel' mode, but that did nothing. When waking the truck from sleep, the air compressors work overtime to inflate the front until they shutdown with a 'suspension needs to cool' error message on the small screen. I know that both the towing and the repair should be covered under the comprehensive part of our warranty. However, when I pointed out that one of the inner wheel well covers had been jarred out of position, the tech receiving the truck told me that would fall under the 'adjustment warranty coverage', which had long since expired. Seems like that is a direct result of the front end being grounded and should therefore be included under the comprehensive coverage. Anyway,... has anyone else heard of this front end suspension fail? We were already aware of the top 3 Gen1 quirks; (1) 12v battery, (2) tonneau cover, (3) front suspension rocker arms, but this is the first we've come across this air suspension fail, resulting in the front end of the truck being grounded.
