Thanks for your kind words, but especially for putting together this playlist. It's fun to see that the variety of tunes is as diverse as all of us. At least it's clear we all share a common love for Rivian and music. I can't wait for that first mile and first song alone in my Rivian.

Learning and knowing who it is that suggested a given song here will eventually be linked to that person in my head. Hearing a song today from 60 years ago invariably reminds me of the friend and/or location or event associated to one of the first times I heard it.

I know some people for whom music is "nice", but it isn't a necessity. Tough for me to relate to that. For me, it serves as the soundtrack to my life. I can be having a less than stellar day, but the right music serves as the most potent "aural" medication for any troubles I might encounter.

Having said all of this, one of life's greatest mysteries is how in the Hell are the Rolling Stones still together (or even alive) 60 years after getting started? Appropriately enough, one of the earliest songs I remember, while listening to a scratchy sounding A.M. transistor radio under the covers at night, is the Stones' cover of Buddy Holly's "Not Fade Away", from '64. I love Buddy's version, but I'm pretty certain that cover made me a fan of Keith, Mick, and the boys for life. That they're still cranking out music today is magical to me....

The first song I'll play, as mentioned previously, is "Monday, Monday" by the Mamas and Papas. Ironically, my Rivian is being delivered tomorrow, Monday.

Funny you mention that. After reading @LV.'s post late last night, I cranked up AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long". (Word to the wise: When hitting the play button to such a love ballad at 1 a.m. while laying in bed, don't be surprised when sleeping pets suddenly start flying through the air to the nearest exit.)

I thought about having a load of my ICEasaurus friends on-board and dropping the hammer from a dead stop when the band does the same at the 0:15 mark.



I'm hoping the next lame "Range Anxiety" question I get from them relates to the distance to the nearest restroom, or dry cleaner. Don't worry, I've already thought about absorbent seat-liners....

Stopped along the No.7 Highway west of Deroche, the sirens to open Money City Maniacs swell from the Canyon Red R1T's interior. A teeth-clenching harbinger of the launch set to come with the song's first emphatic drum strike. ?

The same song I play when starting a race.......Where's Your Crown King Nothing (Metallica)....in fact I'll be playing it this Saturday morning at 10am!

When the truck was delivered on Saturday the two Rivian staff members were inside with me and when we got to the audio functionality, I stopped them midstream and said I've got to play the song I said I would on the forums! We all got a big laugh and I asked Alexa to play my song......so, I did what I said I would....lol

@Hemlock, looks like Spotify caps their embedded playlist at the first 100 tracks. Sloan is definitely on the list, as Money City Maniacs is a favorite song of mine as well. Check track #110.

The playlist is up to 171 songs which showcases this community's dedication to good tunes and diverse musical taste. Love it.

@Mark_AZR1T, congrats on your LG delivery. Your gold Orbea mounted behind the tailgate has to be my favorite accessory I've seen to date.

I really didn't think too much about this thread initially. But then, when we were sitting in our new baby with the delivery specialist and he asked me to pick a song to demonstrate the sound system I had an unexpected personal dilemma. Do I choose my favorite song to hear in the car that I have been waiting years for as a first experience, or since I have an independent witness and the wife is in the back seat without our children for the first time in months, do I take the opportunity to annoy her without the risk of bodily harm. Surprisingly the chance to annoy without retaliation won out, I went with "We don't talk about Bruno".
