Tail lights keep blinking

I feel like this is something that - once we can see the logs - it's probably going to be really easy to resolve. The truck *knows* why it's blinking. The truck *knows* why it's not going to sleep. And why it's doing all this other stuff. We just need to get it to the point where we can interface to get that info into a human-readable form.

Same blinking here persistent through hard reset. I also feel like my ventilated seats are weak or non existent now. Oh and I tried to open and close the to tonneau cover a few minutes ago... Opened fine but won't close at all... 22 R1T and the tonneau was replaced less than a month ago

As Aldo, AKA mudito, said, I’m way more concerned about the VD and 12v battery than the blinking. Although the blinking is unacceptable, especially in a camping environment.

As for the logs, those should be remotely accessible to Rivian, if a snapshot is taken by the owner, using the owner icon on the main display. I have had to do this before, for another issue. Not sure how much detail they get, but that was the first thing I was asked to do. Whenever there is an issue like this, take a snapshot. It’s time stamped. Having said that, this time my SC did not ask me to do that, even though I had already done it.

EXACTLY the that happened to me... So the it IS related (tonneau and blinking)...

Some module might have failed there then... But on R1S... What's with that?

I haven't gotten any offshore support. All seem interested and want to help, but aren't able to pull logs. In the meantime, this is annoyingly cute. "Vehicle systems using more energy than usual". The h*** you say.

Ok same for me. I just tried this and my cover retracted fine but now will not close. When I try and close, it tries to retract more but is stalled in the full open position.

I don't think the cover causes the issue (there are R1S with this same issues), but just another symptom

Well it seems like I'm one of a growing list. I only noticed mine today. Quick blink followed by slower one. Turning my phone off seems to fix it. I raised a ticket although they can't look at it until late August.

Same here. Must have started on Thursday/Friday of last week. Woke up on Friday to the red battery icon and ‘replace 12v’ message. Service call was able to get me in for immediate service—3hr drive to SC. Made it there without much issue.

that was yesterday. Miserable experience (whole other story behind that). But now I’m noticing the truck hasn’t gone to sleep at all since the 12v replacement and tail light blinking is happening none stop. Major issue. Hope this new 12v isn’t getting fried now too!

If it's responsive to turning off your phone, yours might just be PaaK.

Does your truck go to sleep? Are you getting a relay clicking from the driver's side fuse panel area?

Oof. 0.9kWh in less than three hours. That's worse than mine. Call and submit a ticket ASAP, if you haven't already. This is going to absolutely demolish a lot of 12V batteries, as you've seen.

Im seeing the same blinking issue on my 2023 Gen1 R1S. Tried turning off phone-bluetooth and removing the FOB battery, blinking persisted.
Soft reset and driving 100s of miles did not help

Same on my 2023 R1S. Relatively recent 12V replacement and also got 2025.22 and still seeing the issue. Will open a ticket.

Believe this is happening to me (just started though). Truck was sleeping fine through the day, I went into the garage to move some things around before bed, and suddenly the tail lights started blinking. Truck hasn’t gone to sleep since (it’s usually very quick to go to sleep). Tried turning off Bluetooth on my phone- same issue. Will be monitoring. Oddly I have a service appointment in 1 week so might be adding this to that ticket.

(Re: the pic - 1033 pm (MDT) is when the problem started for me. It’s 1120 pm as I write this)
