Updated with VIN and delivery date

Scheduled delivery for August 7th (Oregon). Was really hoping for a mid-July. Surprising that it's that far out with a VIN already.

Apparently if you have more than one R2 reservation made at the exact same time (minute zero, day one). The second reservation gets booted to the back of the line. Got the order in for the first. The second reservation is now showing DEC-FEB. They must be trying to prevent flips or something. In...

Just got assigned 7/31 delivery. Of course a day that we aren't able to make the trek to the service center. Interesting that they did not provide any options, just an arbitrary assignment of date and time. Email into them to reschedule.

Got VIN today (2100’s) waiting on delivery scheduling.

Will definitely be improved with software. All versions of R1 have had massive improvements in charging speeds/efficiency since they were launched.

Looks like they're surging delivery's to areas closest to the factory before end of quarter to boost the delivery numbers. My guess is the rest of us will see VIN's assigned July 1.

Just order. Given the huge window on delivery timelines (4-8 weeks in our case), there’s really no way to plan on when you will be taking delivery. Rivian knows this and will offer flexibility on scheduling delivery when the timeline narrows.

Softer than our R1. Most likely due to less piping/stitching. Same great material and should hold up well to daily wear and tear.

Only service issue we’ve had on R1 has been the suspension. It’s overly complicated and prone to failure. Post warranty is going to be rough.

Same. June 16 order. No VIN yet. Catalina Cove with 20”. Oregon Delivery. 4-8 week estimate.

Own an R1S and have an R2 on the way for July delivery. Did demo drive for R2 today and had similar thoughts. Drove an hour in our R1 to do the demo. Immediately felt the weight difference and general heft and clunky feel of R1 compared to R2. R2 feels really polished and refined. Insanely quiet...

Demo drive scheduled for Sunday. Will report back with findings unless someone gets to it before then.

I’ve got no problem with it being manual. Honestly surprised the R1 doors have held up as well as they have. Just curious if they built in a minder on R2 when you put it into gear, so it’s not left flapping in the wind when it inevitably gets left open or not latched properly, or someone decides...

Does R2 have a reminder to close the charge port door if it’s left open. Seems like it would be fairly critical on a manual door. Haven’t seen anyone check on test drives yet.

Not really possible other than making things very complicated—forming an LLC with buyer and seller etc.

How many have actually been delivered at this point. Guessing not many.
