I’m fortunate to have a separate car I can take. Not everyone is. And this appears to be a Rivian self inflicted issue. Unfortunate.

Indeed. I'm at the Dallas SC now back again to pick up a loaner. Will see If I can talk to a tech and get more info on what are they seeing.

It HAS to be something software-related. It's almost impossible that a hardware piece would break so many random vehicles around the country

24-hours not driven stats and plugged in since yesterday. Does it drain both the 12v and pack? Says "Normal" but seems excessive for just sitting there.

Well the SC is useless on this. Where is the proactive customer service?! Called the number and they just confirm the appointment—-in September!

Riviantrakr has asked his connections in the tech team about this. I’ve also pinged Wassym on X so hopefully he responds soon as well. Fingers crossed it’s an easy fix.

I parked mine outside last night. Tossed my charging cord out the window of the garage to reach it. I don't understand these high cabin temps, but after seeing that other person's thermal pictures, I think I made the right choice.

This is crazy.

No word yet from Rivian today (although they called me several times yesterday that they'd "text me when I can bring it back in").

Called again and made an issue of it. They’re bumping appointment to Friday. No indication of a known fix.

At this rate 12v and main pack will die in the SC lot while they wait on a fix. Not sure what’s the best way to go at this point.

My Gen 2 R1T is fine. Here is my “since parked” usage while plugged in over the last 14 hours.

No other option than waiting, sadly. Make sure to keep your R1 plugged into an L2 charger to maintain charge on the HV and 12 Batteries

I'm not real good with this site, but if I understand this right it looks like 8x "sleeps" or "attempts to sleep" so far today, for a total of 4 minutes. And the rest of the morning has been "idling", right? (my scheduled charge completed around 5:20)

It's 100 degrees in the cabin already.

Also, refresher: on Gen 1's, it's the inverter under the driver's seat, and amp under the passenger seat, right?

I'm pretty sure the inverter is under the passenger seat on Gen1:

Yes on how you read ElectraFi. It's attempting to sleep but not doing so.

No about the inverter, it's under passenger seat

Thank you both. Haven't had my coffee yet this morning. 😉

One other "sanity check": My vehicle is currently scheduled to charge to 85% between 11pm-6am, to take advantage of lower rates from my utility. Thinking because of this, it might be better to turn off the schedule (so it can charge whenever) and set it to 70% - at a low amperage rate. What are you all doing?

Maintaining normal charge schedule with windows vented in the garage. From what I understand, the HV battery charges the 12v(s) no matter what. Just making sure the HV doesn’t get too low is why I keep it plugged in

Yes, I did that exactly. Set the limit to 70% and removed the schedule and let the truck handle it.

Remember that the truck will charge the 12V, when charging from L2. So i *should* avoid the vehicle to shutdown due to over-stress in the DC-to-DC circuit for 12V upkeep.

Maybe also might be a good idea to crack the windows open to avoid cabin overheat?
