  1. First charge using the A2Z adapter

I agree. CYA. There is no way Rivian can know what sort of cheap, poorly designed adaptor one might use. Saying that ā€œUse of unapproved adapters CAN result in damage to your vehicle.ā€ is not the same as saying that such use WILL result in damage. Itā€™s entirely possible that perfectly good...
  2. A2Z NACS To CCS1 Adapter Review

Ordered 3/21 and got the shipping notice today. Let the games begin šŸ˜Š
  3. A2Z NACS To CCS1 Adapter Review

What about just using a wee bit of silicon spray?
  4. Group Buy up to 30% | Suma Mirrors

After years of driving, Iā€™ve come to rely heavily on mirrors, as opposed cameras, warning idicators, etc.. The Rivian side mirrors are almost worthless, with a very limited field of view. These Suma mirrors may be just the ticket.
  5. Cybertrucks in the wild - quick comment

I parked near CT done in mat black ppf. OMG, was it ugly! It took an already unattractive truck, that sold for well over $100k, and managed to make it look even more industrial than stock. Iā€™ve seen many reports and videos of CT gawkers, but people were walking by this CT and hardly even giving...
  6. First Charge with A2Z NACS to CCS adapter (success!)

Itā€™s my understanding that there is no way either Rivian or Tesla can tell what kind of adaptor is being used. The adaptor is a completely passive device. So, I doubt this has anything to do with Rivian trying to control adaptor use.
  7. A2Z NACS To CCS1 Adapter Review

UPS sucks! Sorry, just had to get that off my chest šŸ˜
  8. No Email from Rivian for the Tesla NACS Adapter...

FWIW, I took delivery of my R1T on 9/12/23 and I did receive the email on April 4.
  9. A2Z NACS To CCS1 Adapter Review

Well, I donā€™t think we are saying the same thing, at all. But, whatever.
  10. A2Z NACS To CCS1 Adapter Review

IMHO, because there are no 3rd party adaptors that have, as yet, been tested and approved, and because there are bound to be many cheap and unreliable adaptors appearing on the market, it makes perfect sense that Rivian makes this blanket warning. Rivian has no idea what adaptor a person might...
  11. Pairing Key Fob DIY?

I like having the fob always with me, as it comes in handy to lock and unlock the vehicle, when Iā€™m at home and away from my phone. I donā€™t need to have the phone nearby. But, the main reason I use the fob is - I have a cellular enabled Apple Watch, that performs most of the most necessary phone...
  12. Pairing Key Fob DIY?

Hey, wait. I thought this thread was about key fobs, not tires. Back to the fob issue. I recently lost my fob and have a new one coming. As you noted, a mobile tech person will come to my house to pair it with the truck. There must be a better, more efficient way. If I can pair a phone, why...
  13. NACS Adapter reservation emails are now going out!!!!

From the Rivian email - ā€œWe are working hard to build inventory to expedite the fulfillment processā€. This sounds like they may have been accumulating inventory for some time. Maybe the wait wonā€™t be as long as some think - maybe šŸ¤ž
  14. NACS Adapter reservation emails are now going out!!!!

Do we really need 7 and counting threads all on the same NACS adaptor topic?
  15. NACS Adapter reservation emails are now going out!!!!

Got mine ordered. VIN# in the 26000ā€™s. Weā€™ll see how long it takes. Wish I had a clue, as I have an A2Z on order, probably shipping soon. Oh, well. If Rivian moves fast, I may have a spare for sale. Iā€™m a pre-3/22 reservation holder, but didnā€™t take delivery until 9/23. The email clearly states...
  16. R1T antenna fin removal - is it possible?

Hereā€™s a pic of the GoFast camper. As you can see, the fin is still there, but the camper does seem to sit below the top of the top of the fin by a wee bit. It must have a cavity for the fin to nest into.
  17. R1T antenna fin removal - is it possible?

Hmmm. Iā€™d be very interested to see what the Go Fast solution is or if it is. Thatā€™s interesting about D+, although I donā€™t have much use for it. That darn fin should have been located at the front of the roof, so that it would be out of the way
  18. R1T antenna fin removal - is it possible?

I would like to be an able to slide my RTT forward about 8ā€-10ā€ or so, but the fin is in the way. I knew I would have fin interference with the rack I have, but feel it is more important to keep the tent as low as possible. I do not want the RTT sticking way up in the air or have a rack doing...
  19. R1T antenna fin removal - is it possible?

I donā€™t want to have to clear the fin. I would like to reduce or eliminate the fin. Whatever is clearing the fin, in my case an RTT, ends up way up above the roof creating added wind resistance. And, IMHO, it just looks kinda goofy when stuff is mounted so high above the roofline.
