Sizing it up.. my power cooler arrived.. ICECO GO20 Dual Zone

Hey all,

Amazon delivered my ICECO GO20 Dual Zone cooler this morning. Thought I would post some photos.

It’s not the largest cooler/refrigerator/freezer but it fits in the gear tunnel or the front trunk. Will add more details as I try it out.



First test and experience. Plugged into the house via 110. Set the freezer side to 0 and the other side to 35. Took about 30 minutes to get to temp. Then I put a cup of water in both sides (~50-60 starting temp) and after 1 hour the cup on the freezer side was starting to freeze and the cup on the fridge side was around 40-45 degrees. Overall seems to cool well.

Also the app is ok, very basic but you can control the temp settings and monitor the temp. One other note regarding the included cords, kinda odd but to use the AC adapter you have to use both cables, the DC cable plugs into the cooler and then to the AC cable to the wall.

Energy Draw Test with compressor on:
33W with DC power
41W with AC power

Cool! Just wondering how much ADDITIONAL room you have in the front trunk if wanting to upsize another cooler. Looks like your dimensions are as follows.

If you don't need bluetooth control or dual zones, for a cheaper option I can confirm that the Alpicool C20 also fits in both the frunk and gear tunnel. You can access the C20 in the gear tunnel from the backseat, but would probably want to mount a handle on the lid or simply prop up the front a little to make it easier to open.

I didn't notice when I bought it, but it turns out the Alpicool C20 does have bluetooth control.

ICECO does disclose that they use German SECOP brand compressors. From what I read, they are a German company BUT production facilities are in Slovakia and China. Odds are good that the compressor and/or entire ICECO unit is made in China.

"The headquarters of Secop are located in Flensburg/Germany, where approximately 31 employees (as of March 2020) work in research and development, the sales division and the product support department. Secop also operates production facilities in Slovakia and in the People's Republic of China, a research center in Austria and worldwide sales and customer service companies."

Thanks for checking it out. I have to consider the Chinese connection before I buy. I wish Amazon had a made in the USA filter. It makes shopping a much longer process.
