I think youāre right. A non-wood option with a different aesthetic than the same material used on the seat, could be a good lookConsidering this was the only option that didn't have all the wood, yeah, it's a bit disappointing. Not everyone wants wooden dashboards in their car. ??
?I thought there were a few unicorns that got out. Iām sure thereās a big backlog for this one. Vegan cows are supply constrained.
Agreed and they probably offered it back then as a full white interior option since the white wood went away.the vegan leather dash was a desperate move when they were having supply issues with the wood dash. they obviously got that figured out and im pretty sure the demand for the leather was low. good move to simplify production.
In context, they were bad. Thereās just no variation in color, texture, or material around the driverās cabin space.I saw samples at the new Seattle Space last Thursday. The actually looked good out of the dash context.
Completely agree. In pics, it looked like ass.In context, they were bad. Thereās just no variation in color, texture, or material around the driverās cabin space.
yup, it had a really good looking fabric on it. It looks a helluva lot better than the vegan leather (such a stupid name). For those who do not remember, the Explore Package did not include the wooden dash, the camp speaker, or the motorized tonneau.

I was an actual vegan for quite a few years in my late teens and early 20s. Certainly fell into that tell everyone trap at first, but pretty quickly learned to avoid the subject. Later on, anytime it came up everyone would have some gotcha argument against it. Always something Iād heard before, and that didnāt make any actual sense. The problem with getting the vegan dash is that you would keep telling everyone you had the vegan dash.
and here you are years later still letting us know you were a vegan ? I jest, I jest.I was an actual vegan for quite a few years in my late teens and early 20s. Are you afraid the kids will mistake it for a tree and climb it?I'll miss it, if we got another r1 it would have had the vegan dash - though the wood looks awesome it's not easy to clean. After a few years of kids I'm worried the wood will look super rough...
