I saw this analysis on X.

768 cells of which I'm assuming are LG 4695 which are 3.6V at 34AmpH

-Based on the disclosed charging performance, we are still at a ~400V architecture.
-We need around 120 cells to hit the ~400v nominal, but given 768 is the total number, I'm using 128 Cells per Module which gives a total of ~460V MAX voltage (seems OK)
-That will give us 6 modules of 460V at 34Ah each, for a total of 204 AmpHours.

Hence, 460v * 204Ah = 93840wH or 93.8kWh

So yeah, 87.4kWh looks to be the USABLE capacity out of 93.8kWh
Sticker says 363, that's probably related to the total cell count, 121s3p, 4.2V per cell is 508V max. It'd make sense that Rivian is saying they can get up to 240kW on this pack, since the nominal voltage is going to be higher than R1. 500V * 500A = 250kW.

Why are we still speculating about this (and still getting the details wrong, e.g it's THREE modules not 6 ...)?
We've known the right numbers for a year now, directly from RJ's keyboard.

https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/r2-r3-battery-pack-photos-from-rj.42860/

Why do people think that "secret" information in ABRP (which has been there for two years) has more credibility than official information straight from Rivian?
Because once somebody "discovers" information on the internet it lives and is accurate forever. Who cares what information comes out after. Facts don't matter.

Kind of like Kyle Connor using totally estimated efficiency/battery capacity numbers to say the R2 range isn't good enough. Then yesterday he posts Highlander review on a larger, similar shaped vehicle that evidently can get better than R2 efficiency (given specs). He never questions the numbers.

He is just mad he didn't get invited to the initial launch. Sometimes he is a little too impressed with himself.

Kyle's talk about the R2 irritated me to no end. He kept taking speculation as fact and hammered it into the ground about not being good enough. Went to Mike's youtube stream about the R2 and Kyle hammered it in again. Killed all my enthusiasm as he kind of trashed the R2 then threw in a "so excited for this car". So short compared to the hour and a half about saying why it was a disappointment.

Not sure why you'd even watch or listen to anything from Kyle on this if he wasn't invited to the test drive.

Don't get me wrong, I watch a good chunk of his stuff, but he wasn't there so in this case I have not, and will not, watch his takes until he gets his hands on one. Then I'll definitely watch his review.

In my defense, I didn't know he'd be on the stream. It was supposed to be a collection of Rivian Youtubers who were supposed to talk about the new R2 Reviews that had come out that day. Mike, Travis, Isaiah, the guy from Rivian Tracker. Did not know Kyle was going to show up. In fact, I didn't know it was going to have multiple youtubers in the stream in general. I just thought it was Mike watching some reviews and talking about it. I saw it pop up on my home page and clicked.

If the Dual Motor Large Battery doesn't get well over 300 mile range that would be a very bad thing for Rivian - there may be some configs that get slightly under 300 but most will get well over.
