I had this problem consistently for the last couple weeks, losing 5-6% charge a day. I turn the climate off when I get out or it would have been worse. I was actually on vacation and had to have someone go to my house to plug it in so it wouldn't brick itself

For what it's worth it seems to be behaving itself since I drove yesterday, but I have an open inquiry to service about what was going on over this period of a couple weeks and I'll update what they tell me.

I had this problem recently. I thought it started right after the latest software update. BUT really it started after I began putting my dog in the front seat and I use a dog seat belt that clips to her harness when she is in the front. I forgot that I've been leaving it in the seat belt clip all the time and that just happens to correspond to the times it won't hibernate....

Man... day one with a new rivian and the amount of little nit-noid problems like this is mid boggling. A simple on/off switch like every other car would solve this. But that's an extra $100 that cuts into the company's profit margin. Mine has been running for a few hours now and has dropped 1% charge.

Update: I left the driver's side seat belt connected. A workaround to keep the car from slamming itself into park when you open a door in drive (to do things like maneuver in a really tight spot). One workaround for a fault creates another fault.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. It does seem silly that there is no way to force the vehicle off. @astonius even came up with a work-around using existing hardware in this thread: https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/rivian-please-”add”-a-power-button.11961/

One workaround for a fault creates another fault.
Paraphrasing Microsoft - “It’s not a fault, it’s a feature!” ?
